Tyler's expression sank. He stared at us for a while before saying a little impatiently," Fine, just hurry up and go
home. Stop acting all lovey-dovey in front of me."
Theo and | got up and said our goodbyes before leaving the restaurant.
Theo had drunk wine and was unable to drive. When he got into the front passenger seat, | went to the driver's
seat and pulled open the car door.
After getting into the car, Theo leaned on his seat and closed his eyes. He indeed had too much to drink.
My mind was full of thoughts about Susan. | was not sure how she was doing lately. | should find tto visit her
and her son soon.
As for her desire to leave Tyler, | was not planning to persuade her to stay. If she was thinking about leaving,
then surely she must be exhausted and had experienced enough disappointment. In this case, leaving Tyler's
side would be the best choice for her.
Moreover, her departure could force Tyler to face his true feelings and reflect on his mistakes. He needed a taste
of suffering or he would never know how to cherish the people around him.

When | stopped at the red light intersection, Theo, who had his eyes closed the whole time, suddenly opened his
eyes and said to me, "Wrong way."
| froze and looked at the road ahead, feeling a little confused. | then glanced at the navigation to reconfirm it.
"It's right. It's this way."
Theo frowned. "You still plan to go back to the Louises' place?"
| recalled that he had askedto go hthis afternoon but | persuaded him to stay in the Louises' place as
well. He did not say much at the time, but it seemed like he was reluctant now. "Don't you like staying in the
Louises?" | asked with a smile.
"It's not that | don't like to, it's just inconvenient."
Theo hooked my finger with his pinky and let out a meaningful smile.
There was no need to explicitly mention what he meant by inconvenient.
| flushed a little. "W-What's inconvenient about that? It's the sno matter where you stay."
"How can it be the same?" Theo suddenly moved his face closer to mine, puffing his warm, alcoholic breath on
my face.
| pushed him, my face even hotter now. "Sit still!"
"Promise me, can you?" There was a sad tone in his voice.
After a long silence, | said with a face full of helplessness, "We still need to go to the Louises' now and take
Munchkin home."
Theo frowned. "Munchkin can stay in the Louises' place. Things will get even busier forin the next two days.
You should spend more twith me."
He surely would not give up if | disagreed. Perhaps he might even torment me.
Left with no other choice, | could only
agree and turn the car around and drive in the direction back home.

| had been away from hfor so long and felt nostalgic when | cback.
| helped Theo upstairs and unlocked the door of the room with my fingerprint when | got there.
Theo had slumped overfrom the moment we got out of the car. It was truly exhausting.
When | had finally carried him to bed and was just about to go downstairs to get swater, he suddenly
grabbed my arm and tugged hard.
| crashed into bed, and the man rolled over to press down on me. He looked atwith dazed eyes. "Where do
you think you're going?"
| helplessly smiled. "Why don't you lie
down first? I'm going downstairs to get swater."
| pushed him away after saying that.
However, Theo did not budge at all and said capriciously, "I want you to stay with me."
| wanted to curse at someone. Why could Tyler not get drunk by himself? Why must he insist on dragging Theo «
with him? He had givena massive headache.
