Isolde looked at Rosemary and said sincerely, “Lady Rosemary, thank you for everything you've done for
me
Rosemary's expression was indifferent. “It has nothing to do with you. | can’t stand these dirty tricks”
Isolde wanted to talk about her mother, but with Princess Aveline present and people coming back one after
another, she stopped herself.
Isolde got up, bowed, and left. She didn’t show up until it was tfor the banquet.
She had changed into light clothes and combed her hair into a bun. Her eyes were sleepy, and she looked like
she had slept.
The ladies at the banquet watched a show. Prudence had invited an opera troupe famous in Argentum, so
everyone enjoyed it and wanted more.
The men and women at the banquet were separated, Geoffrey brought a group of male guests to eat in the main
hall, while the madams and young ladies were in the side hall. Although there was only a door between them,
they could only hear their voices but not see them.
The first dish for the banquet was caviar. The noblewomen in Argentum were fond of caviar, thinking it was a
holy item to improve their sleep and keep them looking good.
However, there were sdifferences when the caviar was served. Not to mention the food inside, even the
plates were not the same.
Aveline, Rosemary, Margaret, and Vanessa's plates were silvered with exquisite flowers and bigger than the
other madams. Besides, even the plates for the hostess, Prudence, Priscilla, Matilda, Isolde, and a few other
ladies in the Duke's estate were also slightly larger than the guests.
The contrast was so evident that anyone with a discerning eye could tell without a second look. No one said
anything, but all looked unhappy.
Prudence saw it, too. Her face changed slightly, and she gave Priscilla a look. Priscilla immediately left the dining
table.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtAt that moment, Aveline did not understand the situation and said, “I'm not a fan of caviar. Lady Vandenberg,
how about | exchange with you?”
Rebecca smiled with coldness in her eyes. She glanced at Prudence indifferently and said, “There's no need. |
know my position. Lady Prudence has arranged the food for everyone. It’s not good to break the rules.”
Those words made all the ladies look indignant. Sof them even wanted to leave.

Prudence could only bear with it in silence, not saying a word to defend herself. She couldn't tell them the
servants had acted on their own. The servants did not dare to do so.
Right then, laughter cfrom the main hall.
There was both men’s and women’s laughter, which was impudent. Occasionally, they could hear the charming
singing of women.
Everyone was puzzled. They are all male guests outside. Where do the women cfrom?

Rebecca stood up and lifted the curtain to take a look. Then, her face turned purple with anger.

She saw a few young women dressed in provocative clothes at the banquet. judging from their pretty and
seductive faces, they were not young ladies from decent families.
Besides the Royal Court's officials, there were also young heirs to wealthy families. Although they remained
composed in their seats, their eyes could not help but drift to those women.
Rebecca snorted loudly. Seeing that, everyone stood up to take a look.
Prudence had no idea what was going on at all. She also signaled the maid behind her to check it out. When the
maid returned, she whispered something into Prudence’s car. Prudence was so mad that even her fingertips were
trembling.
“Lady Prudence, you are so kind and generous. However, we can’t enjoy it. Goodbye! Rebecca was the first to
flare up. She turned around and left.
Prudence’s face darkened slightly. She stood up and wanted to explain, Lady Vandenberg..
However, Rebecca was quick. She lifted the curtain and went outside.
As soon as Rebecca was gone, the other madams stood up and left with their daughters without even saying
goodbye.
Margaret seemed to have wanted to leave long ago. Seeing everyone had left, she stood up to bid farewell and
went out with her maid, holding her head high.
Aveline looked at Isolde meaningfully and bid farewell to Rosemary, Estelle, and the others.
Only people from the Duke’s estate were left in the side hall when Priscilla returned.
She said to Prudence, “I've asked. The kitchen said Isolde gave the order to classify the caviar.
Prudence’s sharp gaze swept across Isolde’s face.
Isolde slowly tasted the caviar. Her lips were stained with a trace of it. She clicked her tongue in satisfaction and
said, “Priscilla brought this caviar back from Caelmont, right? It's indeed better than the one in Argentum.”
With the guests still outside, Prudence could not lose it. Instead, she said coldly, “Bring Lady Isolde to Blesertin.”
With that, she stood up and walked out of the side door,
Prudence’s back was straight, but her shoulders trembled although she tried to suppress her anger. Priscilla
hurriedly supported her and turned around to glare coldly at Isolde.
Isolde wiped the corners of her mouth and stood up with a smile. She turned to Matilda, Michelle, and Nicole.
“Enjoy your meal. Grandmother can’t leavefor a while.”
The corners of her lips curled up into a roguish smile, but there was a chill in her eyes.
Matilda was shocked. She lowered her voice and said to Michelle, “It’s better not to provoke this nasty girl”
Michelle lowered her veil slowly and said indifferently. “Whether we provoke her or not, she won't let us off.”

Martha was pissed. “Who does she think she is? How dare she go against Grandmother? She's above herself!”
Upon hearing that, Nicole frowned and sighed softly. She had different thoughts from everyone present. She only
wanted to get married and silence those who talked about her as an old lady.
Isolde followed Prudence and Priscilla back to Blesertin.
Prudence entered the house and sat on the armchair. She stared at Isolde with a dignified expression and said
sternly. “On your knees!”
“What did | do wrong?” Isolde asked, standing still.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmPriscilla fumed. “How dare you ask what you've done wrong? Why did you tell the servants to classify the caviar?
And what about those women in the main hall? Weren't you the one who caused all the trouble? You deliberately
ruined your grandmother’s banquet.”
Isolde smiled. “That's right. I did it, but isn’t this all according to your preferences, Grandmother? You've always
cared about status hierarchy. As for the women outside, | called them over. Otherwise, how could it show you're
warm and hospitable, Grandmother?”
Prudence slammed the table and thundered, “What do you think Duke's estate is? A brothel? You've
embarrassed me, your father, and Duke's estate!”
Isolde said coldly. “You don’t want embarrassment, but what about me? Fooling around with my master?
Marrying without the family’s approval? The coconut water in the Pearl Tower? Have you ever cared about me?
Your plans were good. If any succeeded today, | would have to return to Windermount, right? If | don’t make a
move, what will be waiting forlater? My mother’s secret lover? My biological father?”
Isolde’s voice was slightly icy but filled with anger. She had always thought Prudence would more or less care
about her status and not use dirty tricks. However, it seemed she had overestimated her.
Prudence’s tricks were even dirtier than Matilda's.
“What nonsense are you talking about?” Priscilla was furious.
