Chapter 1478 Some Exercise
Despite having never heard of such a tradition, Ian and Aurora cooperatively nodded their heads.
Since Aurora had acquired most of her household items, Ian helped to organize her things. In fact, he helped her to
put on some new bed sheets and sorted the garments in the bedroom dresser.
After all, she had spent the entire day managing chores, so all there was left to do were a few final touch-ups.
After he was done with organizing the bedroom, Ian went to wash his hands in the bathroom. Meanwhile, Cindy was
cleaning up there.
The two stood side by side as they washed their hands at the sink, bearing no thoughts other than cleansing their
palms. Seconds later, they started to feel an inexplicable aura surging through the room.
Cindy hastily rinsed the soap away before wiping her hands dry as she deliberately attempted to make a small talk.
“All done, huh?”
Ian lowered his head as he washed his hands. “Yup, all done.”
She nodded her head and turned around to leave.
When she stepped out of the bathroom, she took a couple of deep breaths. She was baffled about what it was that
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtshe felt back when she was at the sink, especially when she raised her head and saw Ian and her own reflections
beside each other; that thought alone made her very anxious.
Meanwhile, Aurora exited her bedroom and seemed to be heading toward the bathroom.
She glanced at Cindy, confused. “Why is your face so red?”
“Ah,” said Cindy as she quickly touched her own cheeks. “Is that so? It must be the blood pumping from all the
work.”
Aurora laughed and replied, “Oh, you youngsters live too good of a life without exercising, and now your heart’s
palpitating from just doing such trivial tasks. Perhaps the two of you could use some exercise…”
After saying that, she suddenly stopped and revealed an awkward expression.
In that instant, Ian walked out of the bathroom before Aurora hurried into it.
In the beginning, Cindy did not think too much about Aurora’s words. However, after looking at her odd expression,
she couldn’t help resist certain indecent thoughts.
Without exercising… Use some exercise…
Those words couldn’t have been more usual until she made it seem like she had misspoken. Nobody would have
overthought it if she didn’t make that face.
Meanwhile, Ian noticed Cindy’s cherry cheeks and questioned, “Why is your face so red?”
She licked her lips and answered, “Nothing.”
Then, she hastily turned around and went to the couch.
In the meantime, Ian went to check the padlocks on the windows. After seeing that there was no problem with the
locks, he informed Aurora, “It’s getting late. You should get some rest, and we’ll be going home.”
Cindy was still trying to keep herself together, reminding herself not to overthink things.
Undoubtedly, it was Aurora’s words that made her this flushed. When she heard Ian’s mention of “going home”, her
mind started acting up again. Shortly after, Ian and Cindy left Aurora’s place and were headed toward their own
home.
The two were at an arm’s length. For some reason, things felt rather awkward as there wasn’t any conversation
they could have.
Since he sensed that something was off, Ian glimpsed at Cindy and eventually inquired, “What were you and my
mom talking about outside the bathroom?”
She quietly blinked her eyes repeatedly until she finally replied, “Nothing.”
Ian withdrew his gaze and stated, “Why do I feel that you’re being weird, though?”
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmCindy chuckled in response and countered, “You must be feeling things wrong. I mean, what could be wrong? What
secret would I have with Mrs. Morgan?”
Could anyone blame her, though? There was no way she was going to lay out Aurora’s words and explain her
implications to him.
After all, a woman would need her pride.
When they reached home, Cindy went to wash up while Ian took a shower in his room. Thankfully, that dissolved
the embarrassing sensation from before.
When Cindy was done washing up, Ian coincidentally got out of his bedroom. The two looked each other in the eyes
and immediately felt uneasy.
Ian initiated, “Need me some water.”
She nodded her head. “Oh. Okay.”
As the short, meaningless conversation ended, the two returned to their respective rooms.
After shutting her door, Cindy lay against it and started to frown.
What the hell is wrong with me? Nothing even happened, so why do I feel so flustered?
On the other hand, Ian, who had fetched a glass of water to his room, revealed a strange expression too.
