Chapter 921

Lillian tried to comfort herself in her heart, but the tears that she had been suppressing all night finally flowed down

her cheeks.

“Feelings… Is it true that I didn’t give him all of it? Is it true that I can take them back? If it’s true, then why am I in

so much pain now? Why can’t I stop these tears? And what’s causing this pain in my heart?” she thought.

“Lillian, if I said that you are the only one I love, would you believe me? Lillian, give me some time. Just give me

some time. Lillian, how will you be responsible for me? Lillian… Lillian…”

His voice and what he once said echoed through her ears, but to her, the voice seemed to have become so far

away…

Lillian finally started the car, turned around, and drove away from the mansion.

Lillian knew that at this moment she should drive to the office. It was not a rest day, so she had to go to work.

She tried her best to calm herself down and told herself not to cry anymore. If she continued crying, her vision

would become blurred, and she would not be able to see the way clearly.

Just then, an electric scooter suddenly made its way to the front of her car, wanting to cut into her lane and move

between the cars.

Ordinarily, Lillian’s reaction might be faster. But today, she was stunned for two seconds, and by then it was too late

to depress the brake. In the end, she turned the steering wheel mostly out of sheer instinct, and the car

immediately crashed into the curbside.

Bang!

The sudden crash made Lillian’s vision go dark, and the airbag in the car also popped open.

Passers-by suddenly gathered around. Someone hurriedly opened the door and asked anxiously, “Lillian, Lillian, are

you okay?”

Lillian unfastened her seat belt with difficulty and looked at the man. “J-Jerick? Why are you here?” “I happened to

pass by and saw the crash, so I hurriedly stopped my car and came over to have a look. Are you okay? Were you

injured?” Jerick asked anxiously.

He was on the way to work when he happened to spot her car. As he remembered her license plate number, he

was certain it was her.

He was just wondering why she was on this route at this time since it was not the route she took to her office. It was

then that he saw her bumping into the curbside to avoid an electric scooter that suddenly cut into her lane.

“I-I’m fine…” Before Lillian could finish her words, however, a trace of pain suddenly came from her stomach, and

then the pain slowly worsened.

She subconsciously touched her abdomen. “My child! Did something happen to my child?” she immediately

thought.

“It hurts. My stomach hurts…” Her face gradually turned pale..

Seeing this, Jerick quickly carried Lillian out of the car and said, “Hold on. I’ll take you to the hospital right now!”

As he said that, he hurriedly carried her into his car and drove toward the nearest hospital.

Lillian’s hands grasped her abdomen tightly, and she gritted her teeth. Beads of sweat had formed on her

forehead, dripping down her cheeks, causing her face to look even paler.

Jerick snuck a few peripheral glances at Lillian and comforted her, “We’ll arrive at the hospital soon. Don’t worry.

Your child will be fine.”

Lillian closed his eyes bitterly.

“Perhaps this is destined to be. With this happening to me at this time, my child could take advantage of this

opportunity to leave me. Perhaps this is the best ending. This way, the child could leave, and there would no longer

be any connection between me and Callum!” she thought.

The car soon arrived at the hospital. Jerick rushed into the emergency room of the hospital with Lillian in his arms.

He told the doctor what happened most briefly and said, “She is pregnant now and has a baby in her belly. Please

do whatever you can to save the baby!”

Lillian was placed on the mobile hospital bed and pushed into the emergency room. The doctor began to provide

emergency treatment.

Jerick sat on the bench outside and waited anxiously.

If Lillian hadn’t told him not to call her parents before she went in just now, he would have called Stephen and

Abigail.

“But Lillian didn’t mention not to call Callum. Should I call him?” Jerick wondered.

Jerick had no idea for a moment. If Callum was informed, with his ability, he would definitely be able to find better

medical resources for Lillian. If the treatment here failed, he would be able to find a better

one.

As he thought about it, a phone rang suddenly. It took Jerick a moment to realize that the sound came from Lillian’s

bag.

When he got out of the car with her in his arms, he had also taken her bag on the passenger seat.

He opened the bag and took out the phone. There was only a string of numbers on the screen, which meant that

this number was not among Lillian’s contacts.

But when he pressed the answer button, it was Callum’s voice that sounded from the phone.

“Lillian? Are you there? ” Callum’s voice, which was originally smooth and elegant, seemed at that moment to hold

a trace of tiredness and hoarseness.

Jerick cleared his throat and said, “Mr. White, I’m Jerick. Lillian is now being examined by a doctor in the emergency

room.”

“The emergency room? What’s going on?” Callum’s voice suddenly became anxious.

“Lillian had a car accident in the morning. I happened to pass by and saw her, so I sent her to the hospital,”

explained Jerick.

“Which hospital?” Callum asked, and when Jerick told Callum the address of the hospital, Callum only said, “I’ll be

right there!” Then the call ended.

Jerick put the phone back into Lillian’s bag and continued to wait.

Before long, Lillian was pushed out and placed in a ward.

The doctor said to Lillian, “Your injuries are not severe. There are only some bruises on your body and no fractures.

It’s just that you are eight weeks pregnant, and the fetus may not be in a stable condition at present. If you insist on

keeping the baby, we recommend you go to a hospital specializing in obstetrics and gynecology. Otherwise, we

would suggest an abortion as soon as possible.”

“You don’t have to save the baby. Please arrange the surgery for me,” Lillian said.

“What? You want to get an abortion?” Jerick asked in shock.

Lillian nodded.

“But don’t you care about this child very much? And if you want to save the baby, it’s not impossible. I will send you

to the Women’s Health Hospital right now!” said Jerick.

“No, I’ve already decided!”

“But-”

Seeing that the two were arguing/the doctor said hurriedly, “Since you are the child’s parents, and you are not in

agreement with each other, then please think it over before making a decision.”
