Chapter 122
Eloise refused to get out of the car. She sat there, looking up at him with a hint of grievance on her face. Her
emotions were evident, especially in her beautiful
dewy eyes.
Harvey bent over and actually lifted her out of the car.
"Walk yourself, or do you wantto carry you?"
Scared of losing her dignity, Eloise asked him to put her down. "Harvey, | don't want to be a part of your next
scandal."
He put her down.
His gaze was fixed on her, focusing on her face, her slender shoulders, and her beautiful dress.
After a long pause, he muttered. "Nice dress!"
Eloise was so mad that her face turned red.
After spending so much twith him, she could tell that Harvey was very superficial, always judging women by
their looks. A slight touch-up, and he was all over her, wanting to get intimate anytand anywhere.
Eloise didn't take it as a compliment.
She was merely his plaything, while Joan was his real goddess.
At the hotel front desk.
The front desk girl sneaked a peek at him while checking them in.
Harvey was a local celebrity in Peterborough and a single millionaire. But rumors said he now had a girlfriend,
and after looking at the gorgeous girl beside him, she thought that she must be his girlfriend.
The gossip-loving girl handed him a room card while stealing glances at him.
"Room 3601, Mr. Horigan. Enjoy your stay."
Harvey took the room card from her hand.
In such a place, he could carry on without batting an eye, acting smoothly.
But for Eloise, it was her first tat a hotel with a man, and she felt uncomfortable throughout.
In the elevator.
Harvey pinned her against the elevator wall, tilted her chin, and kissed her.
Eloise couldn't dodge, for he blocked her escape with his knee.
She went limp.
Harvey chuckled quietly.
After the kiss, they were both panting hard, especially Eloise, who had a thin vein popping out on her forehead.
He gently stroked it.

Suddenly, he remembered the scene at the club earlier, where Eloise was in
Landon's embrace and there was clearly semotional turbulence.
Feeling a pang of discomfort, he asked her. "Would you have really called Landon hubby if | hadn't taken you
away?"
Eloise opened her eyes, looking at him in a daze.
After a while, she finally understood his insinuations, and knowing that she
couldn't avoid him today, she decided to make him uncomfortable.
She hugged Harvey.
She leaned on his neck, whispering in a soft, seductive voice. "I would."
Harvey stiffened slightly.
Eloise let go of him, leaned against the elevator wall, and exhaled lightly. "If | don't call him hubby, should | call
you hubby?"
It was a provocation.
But Harvey was ignited.
There were many women who wanted to sleep with him, but he wasn't interested
in them. Eloise was different. Despite their numerous close encounters, every
tshe looked at him with her moist eyes, he couldn't resist.
This was something Joan couldn't give him.
Joan was also very beautiful, but her beauty was aggressive. Plus, with their unpleasant past, Harvey never had
any fantasies about her, let alone impulses.
But Eloise was gentle and beautiful, making men want to hold her.
The elevator was a public place, so Harvey had to restrain himself.
He just gently caressed her face, gazing at her deeply with his slender eyes, as if
he were trying to see every inch of her skin clearly.
Although they didn't do anything, the ambiance in the elevator was like a blazing flame.
The elevator door opened with a "ding."
Harvey, holding Eloise's hand, swiped the card and opened the door to the suite.
He held Eloise by the floor-to-ceiling window, leaving only a small night light on, allowing him to admire her
under the dim light.
While gently cupping her face, he kissed her passionately.
Just as their passion was about to burst, Eloise suddenly turned her face away and began to struggle.
She felt mistreated.
What was he doing?
He spent every day flirting with the woman he loved the most and only cto
her when his body needed it.
While kissing her chin, Harvey's voice bechoarse.
"What's wrong? Weren't you fine just now?"
Eloise's head leaned against the transparent glass, and she stammered. "I didn't cfor you tonight."
"I know, but so what?"
"Don't you want it? Eloise, you want it too; your body is telling me."
Harvey was very domineering and assertive in this matter; Eloise couldn't resist him.
In their passion, he couldn't help but think of Landon's infatuation with her and Max's undying love for her.
Therefore, his actions inevitably becruder than usual.
Eloise was very resistant.
But Harvey was excited; he had never felt this impulse before.
Everything was over.
Eloise felt uncomfortable and tired, wanting to sleep.
But after keeping her eyes open for a long time, she sat up from the bed.
"Harvey, you didn't use protection!"
Harvey blocked the light with his hand and pulled her into his arms. "Just once! Besides, you're in your safe
period."
But Eloise was adamant; she asked him in the dark. "What if | get pregnant? Will you lethave the baby?"
Tears welled up in her voice. "Harvey, | won't abort it!"
If she got pregnant, she would have the baby, whether he wanted it or not.
The night was thick.
Harvey actually really wanted to sleep. It had been a long tsince he had sex with her, so he indulged himself
tonight, but now Eloise insisted on not sleeping, so he had to sit up.
The bedroom light turned on.
He got up to put on his clothes, saying, "I'll go grab something from the
pharmacy."
Eloise also sat up, biting her lip lightly. "And... get a bottle of ointment too; I'm
feeling a bit uncomfortable."
Harvey looked at her deeply.

Eloise turned away. "It's a bit sore."
Harvey got off the bed, buttoned his shirt, and pulled up his pants.
He left for about 20 minutes and cback with a small box of medicine and a
bottle of ointment for Eloise. They both felt a bit awkward.
He had never bought this for a woman before.
Eloise had never taken the pill, let alone applied any ointments.
She sat on the bed, reading the instructions. After a moment, she grabbed the
bottled water from the nightstand, put the pill in her mouth, and washed it down with a gulp.
Harvey was watching her from the side of the bed.
Eloise was calm; she was not like those tic TV characters who freak out
when they take the morning-after pill.
Out of the blue, he asked. "Did this pill just... kill my... you know?"
Eloise glanced at him.
She was surprised. What was he fussing about?
Eloise didn't answer him.
She got up from the bed in her bathrobe, ready to go to the bathroom to apply the
ointment.
But Harvey stopped her as a mischievous grin appeared on his handsface.
"You can apply it here. I'll help you."
Eloise, of course, didn't agree.
They weren't that close yet.
But Harvey scooped her back onto the bed, insisting on helping her apply the ointment. The whole thing was, for
Eloise, beyond words. After they were done applying the ointment, she wrapped herself in the blanket and said,
"I'm going to sleep."
Harvey straightened up a bit, then spooned her from behind.
Eloise was tired and didn't resist.
As dawn was breaking, Harvey felt the girl in his arms getting hot.
He touched her and found that Eloise was burning up. She must have had a fever.
He had scommon sense and figured it might be his fault. So he gently tapped Eloise's cheek and said,
"You've got a fever. I'll take you to the hospital."
Eloise was feverish and a bit out of it.
She opened her eyes, looking at him with wet eyes. She was vulnerable, like a helpless little creature.
Something in Harvey's chest went thump.
