Chapter 944
Lily chose not to look at the gifts and invited Justin into the house for tea. She instructed a housekeeper to brew a pot of flower tea since the
weather was so hot. Justin rarely drinks anything sweet, and he prefers water or tea.
They had kept it a habit for many years since they were all fighters. They had to ensure their bodies were healthy and in top shape. Even
when they sat on the sofa, they made sure that their postures were upright.
"Have you decided on the venue for the wedding ceremony?" Justin took a sip of his tea and asked.
"Alex has decided on the Isles Hotel," Lily told Justin, as she had heard some details from Alexander.
Justin nodded his head. It was just as he had predicted. The Isles Hotel was, after all, one of the city's most famous ones. "How many guests
have you decided on? Did his side of the family say anything?"
"I'm not sure about the exact number of guests. As for the Russell family..." Lily hesitated for a moment. The Russell family's situation was
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtcomplicated, and she did not want Justin to worry too much, so she just decided to leave it at that. 'They're well. His family is very friendly.
I've already met his aunt and grandmother."
"Okay," Justin nodded and then added, "I've seen Mrs. Russell as well. She's quite..."
Due to the nature of his upbringing, talking about someone behind their back was just below him,
especially if they were of higher seniority.
He paused for a while and continued, "She may be a bit difficult sometimes, but you must be patient.
After all, you'd be family too. If she makes you feel slightly uncomfortable, try your best not to go
against her, okay?"
Justin continued, "However... You have to understand what I mean.
Showing her respect doesn't mean you're weak. If she doesn't respect you or even intentionally makes
things difficult for you, you shouldn't put up with her either. Remember, you have the Lodge family
behind you, and we'll always be your strongest reinforcement."
"Okay!" Lily swallowed the urge to cry as she pouted, trying to force a smile, "Don’t forget, my
kickboxing skills are no weaker than yours. Who would dare intimidate me?"
'Your skills are really good," he agreed, as Lily was a natural and the best in the family. Yet...
"It's easy to spot your enemy if they're coming at you from the front. However, if they set you up in the
dark, you might not be able to handle it. If there's anything you need help with, remember that you're
not alone," Justin reminded her continuously.
Lily had never known that Justin was such a worrywart. He was like a mother, nagging her about this
and that, worried that she would not be able to take good care of herself. Though Lily was touched, she
found it kind of funny as well.
"Fine, I know! Stop trying to make it sound like I’m going onto a battlefield. I'm getting married, not

"What nonsense are you on about, you silly girl? Don't say something like that about such a joyous
occasion. As long as you are happy, that's most important." Justin gave her a disapproving look.
"So, have you decided where to go for the honeymoon?" Even though it had nothing to do with him, he could not help his curiosity.
Lily's face instantly fell when he brought this up. "No, we can't go anywhere."
"Huh? Is Alexander that busy?" Justin asked in surprise. Could he not even take some time off work to go on his honeymoon? Then, how
was he supposed to spend time at home after their marriage if he was that busy?
"No, that's not it. It's me. He won't allow me to travel." She really wanted to go for their honeymoon.
Besides, she was still in her early stage, and it was good for her to move around more often.
'You? Why? Are you sick?" He studied her closely. She had lost weight, was it due to her being ill?
"No, I'm... I'm pregnant," she said, embarrassed.
