Chapter 766
He was never willing to recruit a son-in-law. He always thought it was like handing over a piece of the
family business to an outsider, so he set high expectations for Damian instead, hoping he would
succeed and inherit the company.
"Hey, if I can help, I will. Damian is strong, though, so you should also consider his self-esteem. He'll
think I'm protecting him more, and it's easy to take that to heart.
Joseph thought about it, then sighed and responded, "Never mind. In any case, the outcome is all but
certain. Praise Damian in front of the shareholders in the upcoming management meeting. I’ll have

"What news?" Arianna asked curiously, frowning.
"You'll know when the time comes. This is something about which I'm still not entirely certain, and I
need to be sure before I play my cards. You can go now," he waved absentmindedly.
Joseph’s unfinished words aroused Arianna’s intense curiosity. At the same time, she also knew that if
her father did not want to say it, he would not tell her.
He said that he must first be certain. Arianna wondered what it could be and if it was related to Damian.
She gave Joseph a long look and noticed that he was hunched over and thinking silently, so she turned
and left the study.
"By the way," Stopping her again, Joseph said, "Persuade your mother. It’s been so many years!
Whatever happens, we've been married for a long time, and I’ll treat her well. If Damian takes over
the business in the future, you two won't ever be mistreated by it.”
Arianna smiled, "Dad, I know! I’ll talk to mom."
"Sure," he said with a satisfied nod.
Arianna left the study and returned to the living room, but she couldn't stop thinking about Joseph's
words. What exactly did he mean?
Eloise was no longer in the living room and had probably returned to her room. However, as soon as
Arianna went upstairs, she was called into her mother’s room.

Glancing toward the stairs, Arianna nodded. "Mom, you don't need to worry." Pushing her shoulders
into the room, she said in a low voice, "That brat is up to no good! Just wait and see. Sooner or later,
he will capsize."
"What about Nathaniel?" After a pause, she asked, "Did your father mention anything about him?"
"What can he say? I recruited him, and he has nothing to do with you. At most, the brat might complain
and say that Nathaniel didn’t do anything and has made no progress," Arianna said.
Then she changed the topic, "By the way, dad said he might reveal something during the next
management meeting, but he isn’t sure yet. Do you have any idea what it might be?"
Eloise frowned and thought for a while. "If it’s during the management meeting, then your father might
want to mention Benedict."
"Benedict?" She remained speechless for a brief moment before asking, "What about him?"
