Chapter 657
It was 9 am at the Lodge family’s residence main hall. It was a serious meeting. The elders from the branch
families sat on either side of a conference table, with Jonathan at the chairman’s seat.
Jonathan occasionally coughed while holding onto the wooden box that kept the most important thing in the
family, the family seal.
Lily had intentionally dressed in black, with a severe and gloomy expression. Jonathan looked at her and was
still angry about what had happened yesterday. However, he was feeling slightly better as Alexander was not

‘This child is not easy to deal with at all! I should find a chance and banish Lily from the family as soon as
possible,’ he thought.
The people present grew restless since most of the family members were already present except for
Henry and Justin. Someone finally could not wait any longer and asked Jonathan, “ We’ve been waiting
here for more than thirty minutes. Why are Henry and Justin still not here? So, are we supposed to
keep waiting?”
“Any time now,” Jonathan calmly replied as he blinked slowly. Since he had spoken, everyone else in
the room continued to wait. No one knew how long he meant by ‘any time now,’ so they could only wait.
Lily, on the other hand, just waited patiently. She was one of the family's youngest members, so her
seat was at the end of the table. She sipped her tea slowly while waiting for the two to arrive.
She was there to settle the issue of being framed once and for all.
The past three days were sufficient for her to prepare for her counterattack as they prepared fake
evidence to accuse her of murdering her own grandfather.
After about thirty minutes, the sun rose entirely. Its rays shone brightly into the main hall, and some
were starting to feel hot as the sun's rays glared upon them. Then Henry finally walked into the room.

There was a slight smile on his face if one looked closely.
“I’m sorry I’m late, Uncle Jonathan,” he raised his voice, “To all the other family members present, I’m sorry
that I’ve kept you waiting.”
As he passed Lily, he glanced at her from the corner of his eye and smirked victoriously. Lily lifted her head
and smiled back at him. Though he was not looking her straight in the eye, he noticed her smiling back and
was dumbfounded. His smirk froze as his steps waivered. He soon regained his composure and continued
walking toward the front.
Henry cleared his throat before nodding at Jonathan, “Since we’re all here, why don’t we start.”
Jonathan nodded in agreement as he stood up using his cane. Henry was on his other side, helping him stand.
“Since we’ve gathered, let’s start the meeting. Everyone here is a Lodge family member, and there are no
outsiders among us,” he pointed at Lily as he spoke.
