Chapter 404
“Do you honestly mean that?” Lily laughed, “I don’t think so.”
Nathaniel replied desperately, “Then what else do you want me to do? Just name it. I’ll do whatever you want!”
“Really?” Lily smirked wickedly. She looked like a siren that could lure any man to her. Nathaniel was
captivated by her beauty, but then he noticed she had lifted her slender finger and pointed toward the window.
Her lips uttered, “Jump out the window!”
“What?!” Nathaniel thought he had misheard.
“Didn’t you say that you meant it? I’m giving you a chance. If you jump, I’ll forgive you immediately,” Lily

staring into Nathaniel’s soul and freezing him.
“I-1...” Nathaniel peaked outside the window. They were on the sixty-sixth floor, and the view was
breathtaking, but when he looked down, he felt dizzy.
‘How can I jump from this height?! I’ll die!’
“Lily, stop joking. I sincerely apologize for my past mistakes, but you’re being...” He looked at Lily with a
pained expression, obviously not going to jump.
“You’re not willing to do it, huh? Then say so. Why are you even talking about being sincere?” Lily
laughed at Nathaniel’s foolishness. Of course, he would not jump. She was just amazed by the fact that
he would not even try to pretend to do it. She could not help but look down at him.
‘What a coward.’
“I-I...” Nathaniel was already sweating as he could no longer hold a decent conversation with Lily. He
had never noticed that Lily had such a sharp tongue, and it suffocated him.
“Have you ordered?” Lily glanced at Nathaniel and asked.
“N-Notyet!” After changing the subject, Nathaniel could speak again. He smiled and continued, “I was
waiting for you. What would you like to have? Go ahead and order.” He waved for the waiter to bring
the menu over.
Lily accepted the menu and glanced at him while studying the menu, “Anything? Are you buying?”

Even though this place was expensive, it was still within his means. It was nothing as long as he could have
her back and gain help from the Lodge family. He was willing to go all out.
Lily smirked, ‘Such irony! He always claimed that outside food was not clean and lacked the taste of home, so
he always insisted that I should cook whenever I suggested eating out. Yet now, Nate is being so generous? )
Lily pointed at a few dishes the server recommended without asking Nathaniel what he wanted and returned
the menu to the waiter. Then she stared straight at Nathaniel’s face and asked seriously, “Get straight to the
point. What are you planning? You’ve been on to something the past two days.”
Nathaniel immediately regained his composure when he heard her question. He cleared his throat and looked
at Lily with loving eyes, “Lily, can you give me a second chance? We can start over.”
