"Okay," Lily nodded and followed George to his office.

He closed the door and peeked out before pulling down the blinds, giving off an air of mystery. He did not

completely block the view from outside, though. "Ms. Christian."

Lily was confused. Why did he suddenly address her differently?

"I didn't know the relationship between you and Alexander earlier. Please forgive me if I did or said anything

wrong,” he scratched the bridge of his nose and said a little embarrassedly.

Lily understood now. Although George knew the headquarters assigned Lily, he did not know of her

relationship with Alexander. After the kidnapping incident, it probably wouldn't be kept a secret much longer.

However, he still did not know what the actual relationship between them was. He only knew that there

was something between them.

"Mr. Will, Mr. Russell and I..."

"I don't know what the relationship is, but I won't ask. Don't worry. I’ll keep my mouth shut. Since you

can’t say much about it in the company, I won’t be able to look after you so often."

"I hope so!" Lily replied while nodding, "I also hope you don't treat me differently. Don't pay extra

attention to me. I'm just an ordinary employee and can do whatever I want. I'm willing to grow with

Rebirth!"

George stared at her for a while and saw the sincerity in her eyes.

He was relieved and said, "That’s the best way. Still, you could’ve joined La Beaute Group with your

relationship with Alexander.

Although Rebirth was supported by and affiliated with La Beaute Group, it was only a small subsidiary.

she join such a small company?

He had felt a pit in his belly since Alexander contacted him to • inquire about Lily. He never thought a small

employee would turn out to be his boss’s secret lover.

George had been having a difficult time getting things done lately. It would not be acceptable if her workload

were too light or too severe. Even though he had to keep her identity a secret, he could not help but view her

differently. The entire situation was tough to manage.

Things were simpler now that it had been resolved.

"Alright, you can leave. You’ve been working hard lately, so take some time to relax. I'll approve your leave!"

George said.

"No need. I'll get back to work since you’re all right here." Lily said while smiling.
