Chapter 1591
"I know. I knew you'd understand me," the old man said with a smile after being freed to move his body.
Noticing Lily's preoccupied face, he asked," What's wrong? How's that silly husband of yours?"
'He's not looking very good." Lily shook her head and briefly recounted the situation in the past few
days, including his pulse reading, condition changes, and laboratory test results.
The most intriguing aspect of all of this was that the lab results were normal. She only knew
Alexander's internal organs were unwell by reading his pulse. It seemed like medical instruments could
not pick up the effects of this virus.
'How interesting!" The old man spoke thoughtfully as he listened.
However, he immediately realized how bad that sounded and glanced at her before correcting his

created to avoid all these instruments. Could it be a new disease from God?"
"It's a man-made virus, not one from God," Lily answered lightly.
After so many years, she had learned to distinguish between natural diseases and man-made ones.
Moreover, it was overwhelming that things happened one after another before the storm had even
settled.
'Now that's interesting! If this virus is man-made, that person is a genius!" Dominic couldn't help but
praise.
'Can you stop talking nonsense? I'm asking for your opinion." Lily sighed.
'How can this old man still joke around?'
With a calm smile, he said, "From your description, it sounds like his pulse is unstable. It's only normal
during the day. Have you ever considered whether it's the surroundings that affect it? Several other
things may cause heart palpitations at night. You can't just assume it's one thing or another."
Lily nodded and pondered what he said. She had also thought about this, but seeing as she was not
directly involved, the sight of Alexander's suffering had caused her to be fixated on one thing. That was
why she turned to Dominic. After all, listening to his opinions might spark a new perspective in her.
'I also need some herbs. I've written them down here," she said, handing a piece of paper to him.
With her current condition, it was difficult for her to go and pluck them on her own. On top of that, some
herbs needed to be dried or undergo complicated procedures. Dominic would have ready-made ones.
'Gosh! You're shameless!' He grumbled after taking a look at the paper.
"How dare you? You've never been reluctant to ask me for favors either."
'You..." Shaking his head, Dominic called for a servant and handed over the paper to her with some

idiotic husband?"
'He's not an idiot!" Lily refuted that disapprovingly.
Dominic just clicked his tongue and shook his head. "How come I've never seen you defend me like
this?"
Hearing this, she rolled her eyes. She couldn't care less about what this old man was saying. "He's in
the hospital now. There are people taking care of him. They're well-equipped there, so I'm sure he'll be
fine. What's more, if the X Department manages to solve this plague issue, it's good news to Alexander
too!"
Dominic nodded in agreement.
"By the way, what exactly is this X Department? How did you come around dealing with them?" Lily
asked to clear up her doubts.
