Chapter 1478
Austin’s father was embarrassed.
"Well, Austin might be experimenting in the lab. He often turns off his phone while experimenting," he
explained thoughtfully. "What's the matter? Has Austin done anything wrong?"
Sensing that Dominic was upset, Quincy Fike asked carefully.
"Experiment? It has gone on for so long, don't you... Anyway, he's your son.
Haven't you tried contacting him?" Dominic could not help but mock him.
Quincy chuckled and explained, "Well, there's a reason, Uncle Dorn! Austin doesn't like us to mind his

him before, but he either said it was inconvenient to talk while experimenting or he had no time to be
outside and would contact us when he was free.
"Both his mother and I are used to it, so we rarely call him unless there's anything urgent.” Knowing
Dominic was upset, he added, "Would you like to leave a message for him or know when Austin will be
back? I'll ask him to go to your place and apologize to you." "Apologize for what? Did I say he offended
me?" Dominic expressed his dissatisfaction. "Forget it. It's a waste of time asking you guys! Being his
parents, you two don't give a damn about him, do you?" "Austin is a grownup and no longer a child,
Uncle Dorn. We can't interfere with his private life too much," Quincy patiently explained.
"Okay, okay! Talking to you guys is such a waste of my breath." Dominic hung up.
Reprimanded for no reason, Quincy looked at the cell phone and shook his head. Then his wife dared
to speak, "Was that your uncle?" "Yes." He nodded.
"How unusual! He’s calling us to talk to Austin? Has Austin offended him?" They were all scared of
Dominic, who had such an odd temper that one could unknowingly say something that offended him.
However, as Dominic was not a bad person and the family basked in the reflected glory of him being a
famous miracle doctor, they revered him at the same time.
Only Austin managed to build a closer relationship with Dominic, having brought gifts and received his
tutelage.

and felt something was off. He looked toward his wife. "Have you called Austin the past few days?"
She shook her head. "No! Didn't our son say not to call him needlessly since he's busy with an
important experiment? He's on the home stretch, he said." 'Yes, he did." Inclining his head slightly and
thoughtfully, Quincy said, "How long has it been since Austin came here?" "I have no idea." She
thought about it and made a rough guess. "About four to six days?” "You're really on top of things,
aren't you?" Shaking his head, Quincy found Austin's number on his phone. "I'll give him a call." "I..."
His wife felt he was being unfair because Austin was his son too. " Besides, our son is a grownup. How
can I keep my eyes on him all the time?"
Quincy looked at his phone and disconnected the call.
"What's the matter?" she hurriedly asked.
"It's turned off!" Looking at her, Quincy was puzzled. "How could he be experimenting for so long?"
"Could it be a coincidence? How about we try again later?"
