Chapter 1437
Anastasia thought her aunt had told Rhea to ask her about that, so Anastasia nodded and lied to avoid
any trouble.
Nonetheless, the prescription would not work because Lily said it was unsuitable for Anastasia's case.
Therefore, Anastasia obeyed Lily's request and did not take Austin's prescription. However, she could
not let her aunt find out, or Maria would go on another ramble.
Rhea squinted.
’Liar! She wouldn't be like this if she had taken Austin's prescription.
Although she might lose some weight, she would still be depressed and groggy. She mustn't have
taken it, yet she lies so casually. She has grown up!'
"Oh, why are you so free today? I heard from Aunt Maria that you've been very busy. It sounds like
you're working in some lab?” Anastasia asked as she walked over with two glasses of water and

When Rhea took the glass from her cousin, Anastasia had no idea if Rhea had initially touched her
wrist before sliding her hand down to grab the glass. This startled Anastasia, and she almost dropped
the glass.
"Yeah. I'm a part of a project, so I'm there to conduct some experiments," Rhea answered lightly. After
taking a sip of water, she watched Anastasia gulp hers down. ‘I recall you hating plain water. You'd
typically add sugar to it. What changed?"
"I can't always stick to my bad habits," Anastasia answered emotionally.
She hated plain water in the past. The drinks she liked were sugared fruit juices and sodas. Later, she
dared not drink any of that once she was on a diet. However, she would still crave them. Now that Lily
had taught her to gradually adapt to drinking plain water, Anastasia had gotten used to it. Lily even
recommended adding a piece of lemon if she wanted to.
"What kind of experiment are you doing?" Anastasia looked up and asked curiously. "I remember you
studying biomedicine back in college."
"I did." The corners of Rhea's lips twitched, and a meaningful smile flashed across her face. "I didn't
think you'd remember."
"We're cousins, after all." Anastasia sighed. "I don't have any siblings, and neither do you. We're the
closest thing being sisters. I would spend most of my days at your place when I was younger. We grew
up together, but..."
"But?" Rhea leaned forward, urging her to continue.
"It's just that as I grew up, I became fatter. I was useless, while you were always intelligent. You've
always scored better and picked up on skills faster than me. You looked better, and your figure was
better than mine too.

After a pause, Anastasia continued enviously, "Now you're even working on a big project.
You're...amazing!"
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmOne would say that Rhea's life was what Anastasia had dreamt of.
'Rhea has an excellent figure and is knowledgeable, accomplished, and capable. She doesn't need to
rely on her parents either.’ To Anastasia, Rhea had won in life.
'Then there's Lily, who is also pretty and has a great figure. She has such a lovely marriage and an
adorable child. Even her perfume business... Why is everyone living a better life than me? Everything
they do is better than me.'
Rhea could see the envy plastered on Anastasia's face, and she enjoyed basking in it. Rhea's smile
widened as she arrogantly said, "It's because I worked hard."
"Yeah, you did work much harder than me," Anastasia nodded, agreeing.
She was working hard now too. She worked hard toward losing weight. She had been going around
this for years and hoped it would be effective this time.
"Have you given away all the flowers and plants in your house?" Rhea looked around and asked
casually, with one hand elegantly holding the glass.
