Having been agitated while suffering from the wound, Heather could hardly sleep that night. She was in
a bad mood, feeling a headache and pain in her chest.
She got up to take a sip of water. She reached out for her phone and realized she had smashed it.
‘Well, I guess I’ve got to get a new one.’
Bored to have stayed at home for two days, she decided to go out while thinking about what she should
do next. Now that Alexander knew what she was trying to do, it would be hard to get the secret
handbook. There would be no point in going to Alexander’s house again, as the handbook would no
longer be there.
However, having spent years trying to find it, she couldn’t give up now. ‘My head!’
She ate a painkiller and tried to pull herself together. Looking at her reflection in the mirror, she found
herself getting thinner and looking more like Hannah, who had always been slimmer.

She grew dismayed thinking about her.
“Chump!” Walking over to the bedroom door, she opened it and shouted.
Chump came over soon. “Miss?”
“How is she?” She asked brusquely.
There was no use mentioning the name as he knew who she meant.
Chump answered quietly, “Besides the flesh wound, the shoulder bones have slightly cracked, but she
should be fine after I bandaged and fixed her with a splint.”
Knowing the strength she exerted, she knew her sister’s injury would not be life-threatening. “I’m
asking about her emotional response?”

She had never inquired about Hannah's emotional state, and Chump glanced up at her, his eyes briefly
glittering with shock. However, since she asked, he could only answer truthfully, “She was quiet and fell
asleep after she cried.”
“She did not throw a tantrum?” Heather questioned with an air of surprise.
Chump shook his head.
Heather let out a sigh, but she could not tell if she was relieved or disappointed. She had mixed
feelings toward her twin sister. Hating Hannah’s existence, she somehow knew she would not be whole
if the girl died one day.
Perhaps she had become used to Hannah’s company. Like a birthmark or a scar, the sister could not
be removed whether she liked her or not, and Heather might even be sad if she lost her one day.
‘No, no way! How could I be sad? Won’t it be better without her? There’s nothing to be sad about! What
the f*ck was I thinking?’
She shook off her rambling thoughts and ordered, “Get the car ready. I’m going out.”

notified of many unanswered calls when she put the sim card into it. Not bothering about them for now,
she installed the essential apps and got impatient, realizing she had to transfer some data from her old
phone.
Just as she got her phone ready, she sensed something odd about the stares she received from those
nearby.
As a kickboxer, she was sensitive to stares and caught the sales assistants gazing as she looked up
abruptly.
Apparently talking about her, the two young women let out an embarrassed smile.
Narrowing her eyes, Heather walked over without a smile. “What are you talking about?”
Being who she was, she was used to people talking about her. However, it did not mean anyone could
disrespect her and do it in her presence.
