His Ex Wife is A Billionaire (Evadne and Thaddeus)

The morning sun was really cozy.

Evadne woke up from her soft bed, stretching her stylish butt lazily in the sheets, arms stretching

forward like a kitty just getting out of a snooze.

As usual she slipped on a pure white tracksuit and headed to the backyard lake for some solo

kayaking.

Jason had already cleaned up and was waiting by the lake, left hand holding a water bottle, right arm

carrying a clean towel, waiting for Evadne to come ashore.

“Gone. Every video of Glynnis insulting our hotel staff online is wiped clean. Keyword search, zilch.”

Handing Evadne the white towel, Jason thoughtfully uncapped the water bottle, “There’s still a bit of

chatter, but it’ll blow over soon. Doubt it’ll stir up any trouble.”

“Of course, the Abernathy group PR and legal boys are top-notch in Elmsworth. And Thaddeus has

them all under his thumb.” Evadne wiped the sweat beads trickling down her cheek, panting lightly.

“So, it was Thaddeus who had them wiped?” Jason asked, widening his eyes.

Evadne shook her hair lightly and tilted her head back to drink water, her eyes deep and unreadable.

She tilted her head back, her swan-like neck drawing a beautiful arc, just drinking water, but it was

enough to make Jason’s heart race.

“Pursuit of profit, avoidance of harm. That’s Thaddeus now.”

Lifting her hand to wipe the water droplets from her lips, Evadne smiled and said, “Had I met him in the

business world first, I would never have fallen for this man.”

Fell for the wrong guy at the wrong time.

“So, what’s your game plan now?”

Evadne, with her seemingly harmless eyes, was as clever as a fox. She had a plan.

“That girl hasn’t been discharged yet, right? I’ll start with a meeting at the hotel, then you accompany

me to the hospital, see how she’s doing.”

A few hours later, at Ashbourne Hospital.

The girl had been moved to a general ward. Seeing the general manager herself coming to visit, she

nervously tried to get up from the bed.

Evadne quickly stepped forward to hold her down, saying in a friendly manner, “Lie down, don’t stress,

Bess. You need to rest up.”

“Manager. I’m sorry for causing you trouble!”

Bess, the girl, lowered her head in shame, “I didn’t think I’d get sick. I didn’t hide it on purpose. I really

didn’t know it would be like this. I screwed up.”

“I checked your medical records, and this is your first episode. You didn’t have this condition before. It’s

not hiding, don’t blame yourself.” Evadne smiled.

“Please deduct the hospital fees from my salary!”

“No need. This is a workplace injury, and the hotel will cover it.”

“Thank you.” Bess, both moved and upset, tears welled up in her eyes.

“I came to ask you something.”

Evadne’s expression turned serious, her voice clear and low, “What are you planning to do about

Glynnis?”

“Glynnis is the Abernathy group’s heiress. I don’t have any influence, power, or status. What can I do?

And this morning, I saw the videos online were deleted. I, as an ordinary person, seem to have lost

even the right to voice out through media.” Bess lowered her head, looking very depressed.

“If the Abernathy group won’t give you the power, I will.”

Evadne squinted her eyes, her lips slightly open. Each word she uttered was forceful and determined.

Bess widened her eyes in surprise, “You will?”

“If you want Glynnis to apologize to you, then we need to publicize this. But, it will more or less affect

your life. So, I came to ask for your opinion. After all, you’re the one involved. Although I’m your boss, I

can’t just do whatever without considering your feelings.” Evadne said calmly.

“I’d like Glynnis to apologize to me, even if it’s just in private.”

“No private, we make it public.” Evadne always spoke succinctly and never beat around the bush.

“You want her to apologize publicly? How is that possible!” Bess exclaimed in disbelief.

“Bess, Glynnis will never apologize to you in private. She dared to insult you in front of so many people,

and she will never apologize to you.”

Jason said softly, “If we force her into the public eye, she will have no choice but to apologize to you.”

“Let it go! I don’t want to cause trouble for the hotel or for you!” Bess quickly shook her head in fear.

“Don’t be scared. If Glynnis dares to retaliate, she’ll be digging her own grave. And I have my reasons

for doing this.”

Evadne’s eyes sparkled with a hint of amusement, yet filled with determination, “If you agree, leave this

to me. I won’t let my staff be wronged.”

Glynnis originally wanted to let this pa** quietly, but now it seemed that’s not happening.

She could divorce, but she could never lose this fight!

Leaving the ward, Evadne put her sungla**es back on, hiding her resolute gaze.

Then she dialed Elvis’s number.

“Evadne, finally have time for me!”

Elvis’s tone was both sad and aggrieved, “You don’t know, Arnold teased me saying you neglected me,

I was freaked out! I can’t lose to that idiot!”

“You guys are my brothers, not my ha rem. Don’t view me as a queen surrounded by men. I’m not that

kind of person.”

Evadne shook her head helplessly and said softly. “By the way, I need a favor.”

“Favor? Favor?! Oh no, We’ve drifted, Evadne. You don’t care about me anymore, and our bond has

faded!”

Elvis began to play his act, and his tone filled with sorrow, “You actually said “favor” to me, so polite yet

so distant! Seems like I need to get back to you as soon as possible, in a couple more years, you’ll

forget my handsome face.”

“Elvis, can you stop the act? I need your help!” Evadne couldn’t stand his teasing and chastised him

loudly, attracting the attention of pa**ing doctors and nurses.

This girl was pretty, but she talked like she’s about to explode.

“Yes, the way you talk is important. This way I feel comfortable. So, what is it?” Elvis asked with a

smile.

Evadne’s face hardened, her voice deep and profound. “I’m dropping a video tomorrow, and I need you

to use your magic so it’s impossible to take down.”

“How long do you want it to float around the web?”

“Long enough for the message to get around.”

“Sure thing, I got to. But I scratch your back. You scratch mine, right?” Elvis asked, his voice husky and

enticing.

“Trying to milk this for all its worth, aren’t you? Fine, name your price,” Evadne responded confidently.

“I want a free pa** to beat the cr ap out of Thaddeus, deal?”

A twitch flickered at the corners of Evadne’s mouth.

“Scr ew you!”

The next day, at the Abernathy group.

Thaddeus sat at the head of the ma**ive conference table, his gaze frosty, his face handsome and

aristocratic. His aura was intimidating, enough to give anyone the chills just by him sitting there.

“We need to secure the project land as soon as possible, and I need everyone working together, doing

their own parts.”

Mid-meeting, someone glanced at their phone and gasped, slapping the person next to them. One after

another, everyone checked their phones. In mere seconds, the news spread faster than wildfire!

“Is this your first meeting with me? Don’t you know my rules?” Thaddeus’s voice was icy, silencing

everyone.

Then, his phone started buzzing.

He glanced at it, his eyes burning into the screen.

Back in his office after the meeting. Thaddeus looked grim.

“Didn’t I tell you to take down Glynnis’s video? Why is it trending again?”

“It was dropped out of nowhere this morning. Our PR team didn’t even have a chance to react!” Gordon

explained anxiously. “I’ve sent people to get it taken down from the platform, but it’s stuck!”

“Stuck? Do you think this is a joke?”

Thaddeus’s voice was cold as ice. “In half an hour, I don’t want to see ‘Glynnis’ on the trending list!”

Anything that threatened the Abernathy group had to be eliminated immediately.

“Mr. Thaddeus! Look at this!”

Gordon shoved his phone in front of Thaddeus, looking terrified.

The number one trending topic was now: Angel girl rescued hotel waitress.

Thaddeus clicked on the topic, his lips pressed into a thin line.

The next second, he was livid, his eyes bulging.

The video was of Ilana rescuing a waitress. The whole scene captured, including her face!

His ex-wife’s identity was exposed, and more and more people were getting to know her. He was

feeling more and more uneasy.
