Chapter 362
So, Beatrice strutted over, suddenly shut the lounge door, and whipped out a lock from her bag.
Good thing she had the foresight. She had prepared this lock beforehand. Her original plan was to trap Agnes and
Ivan inside, then call over a journalist to unveil the scandal in public. But, it doesn’t matter if Ivan isn’t the one
locked in
Agnes, you’re out of luck, but don’t worry, I’ll find you a hunky security guard later
Agnes was already knackered, lounging on the couch. She heard a noise from the door and got up to check.
She was planning to leave after a quick rest, but to her surprise, the lounge door seemed to be locked from the
outside and couldn’t be opened
Agnes had a gut feeling someone was outside She banged on the door hard: “Open up! Is anyone out there?
Whoever you are, open the doort”
Beatrice, having accomplished her mission, clapped her hands in satisfaction. She had observed the room, and
there were no surveillance cameras. Even if Agnes got suspicious later by then Agnes would be in a very awkward
situation. What could she do even if she found out?
The louder Agnes yelled, the happier Beatrice felt. She was sure Agnes would drink that juice, she might have
already
Beatrice planned to go find someone. She needed to hurry because Beatrice knew Agnes had a phone and would
call for help, maybe even call Jared
If Jared came and happened to see the scene, it would be absolutely perfect.
As Beatrice was leaving the Lavender Restaurant, she bumped into a waiter.
Beatrice, wearing a mask, said, “I think I heard someone screaming in the lounge just now, not sure what’s wrong,
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtyou guys should go check it out.” Lavender Restaurant prioritizes excellent service. They would help with any
customer issues. Upon hearing this, the waiter replied. Tll go right away.”
Beatrice wanted to follow and watch the drama unfold, but realized she would blow her cover if she did.
If Jared found out she set Agnes up, he would never let her off the hook. So Beatrice had to create an alibi. She
went back to the private room, greeted everyone, had some drinks, and then pretended to pass out at the table,
waiting for someone to take her home.
But she still anonymously sent a message to the editor of an entertainment magazine. Those paparazzi were
probably already on their way.
Trapped in the lounge, Agnes was both tired and thirsty. She thed to take a sip from her water bottle, but Mamie
had finished all the lemon water eather, leaving her
none
Who on earth would lock her in the lounge? Was it on purpose, an accident, or a prank?
Agnes wanted to make a call, but her phone was out of battery. Her throat raw from yelling, she didn’t know what
to do.
Everyone probably thought she left early, so no one would come looking for her. Was she really going to stay here
all night, waiting for the staff to open the door the next day?
Just as Agnes was coming to terms with her reality, she heard noises from the door again. Not long after, the door
opened, and a waiter from Lavender Restaurant appeared
When Agnes saw the light outside, she finally breathed a sigh of relief. She walked over, only to see the waiter
holding the lock, looking utterly baffled: “This isn’t our lock, who the hell went through the trouble of locking the
lounge?”
