Chapter 483 The Best Retribution

Solving the issue with Harold was a relatively easy task for Simone. She turned to Titus and suggested,

“You should call Freya and ask her to come and take care of Harold. Once they come into contact, I will

remove the venom from him.”

Titus nodded and immediately called Freya. Without any hesitation, she rushed to the hospital upon

hearing the news. By the time she arrived, Simone had already moved to the neighboring empty ward

to

sit.

Titus had installed a surveillance camera in this ward. He and Leon pretended to have something to do

and left Freya to care for Harold. However, they secretly went to the community next door to watch the

surveillance footage with Simone.

After they left, she walked over to Harold’s bed and sat down. She reached out and gently touched his

face, her eyes filled with affection. “Why are you so heartless? I’ve been by your side all these years.

Why can’t you forget Gwen? What is so special about her that you can’t stop thinking about her? As

she spoke, her eyes turned red.

“I love you so deeply, but you resist my feelings. How can you be like this?” She felt the restlessness of

the venom inside her, but she didn’t understand the reason behind it. It wasn’t until she arrived at the

hospital and saw Harold in a coma that she finally understood.

Harold had fallen into a coma because he was suppressing his love for her. She had initially

approached him, intending to use him and take his luck. However, he never developed any feelings for

her, while she genuinely fell in love with him. She found it ridiculous, but she couldn’t control her own

heart.

Her biological father had been captured by a particular department and was said to have only a few

days left to live. He had left her with only a pair of venoms. When her biological mother discovered her

father’s true identity, she almost had a breakdown. Recently, Harold had exposed her biological mother

and father’s secrets in front of the entire Jenner Family. He also revealed the affairs they had been

having behind closed doors all these years

He even arranged for the Jenner Family to change ownership and become his own. He publicly

announced that he would sever ties with his biological father and kicked the already penniless father

out of the house. Everyone in the Jenner Family stood beside him, looking down upon her and her

mother even more. His father was directly angered into a stroke by him, but he showed no mercy and

still kicked them out.

Now, the two of them were living in a small house, and it was still her money that they were spending.

Rumors spread that Harold’s success was related to her secretly betraying her mother. But in reality, it

was all his doing. She was the one who discovered the change in ownership of the Jenner Family.

Initially, he wanted to kick her out with everyone else, so she used a love potion on him.

She could see that Harold was ruthless and heartless. Since she couldn’t regularly have him, she

decided to use other methods to win him over. That’s why Harold didn’t drive her away. She had done

something to earn his favor so he didn’t spread the news of her expulsion. She leaked it herself.

“If you can be so heartless, I won’t hold back either.” She leaned in and kissed his face and lips. “In this

lifetime, you can only belong to me.” With a twisted and fierce expression in her eyes, she continued, “If

I can’t have you, I would rather destroy you than let any other woman have you.”

As Titus and Leon watched the surveillance footage, they couldn’t help but shudder. This woman was

genuinely terrifying. They felt sympathy for Harold and were disgusted by the sight of Freya

passionately kissing him. They wondered if Harold would feel nauseous when he woke up and

regained his senses.

Simone was unaware of the thoughts running through the minds of the two men. While Freya was

kissing Harold, her hand moved, continuously forming seals. She activated the spiritual energy that had

been buried inside his body. At that moment, the venom hidden in his heart suddenly became restless.

It had an uncontrollable urge to break free and merge with another venom, and it did just that.

The venom crawled out of Harold’s heart and exited through his nose. When Freya wasn’t paying

attention, it went straight into her nose. Lost in the moment and not being a practitioner of mystical arts,

she didn’t notice the venom entering her heart. Suddenly, it pounced on another venom and began

tearing it apart.

As another venom was being devoured, Freya’s eyes widened, and her body started convulsing

uncontrollably. It felt as if her heart was being sliced open, as if someone was cutting through her flesh.

She screamed in agony. “A-Ah!” Leon and Titus were startled by her sudden reaction. “What is

happening to her?” Leon asked.

Simone replied. “The venom inside Harold has turned against him and devoured another venom inside.

Freya. Now, it wants to consume her and take over her body.” Both Leon and Titus were shocked.

“Does it want to possess her body, too?” Simone nodded, “Yes. It wants to overthrow her and become

the master.”

Leon asked, “So, what should we do?” Simone looked at him and said. “Do you want to save her? I’m

not going to intervene. It’s her karma. She wants to control Harold using the venom, but now she’s

suffering the consequences and will eventually be controlled by her venom. It’s good for her to

experience the consequences herself.”

She was no saint, and she didn’t have any compassion for Freya. Freya had committed evil deeds, and

she should face the consequences herself. She had even tried to harm Gwen several times before.

Simone wouldn’t help her get rid of the venom. Leon shook his head and said, ‘I don’t want to save her.

I’m just thinking. Will she do bad things if the venom controls her? Like hurting my sister.”

Simone replied, “No. The venoms are not very intelligent. Controlling her will only make her think about

basic needs like eating and drinking, as if she has low intelligence. Her consciousness won’t disappear.

She will be forced to watch but won’t be able to control her own body. Simone said meaningfully,

“Living like this is more painful than death, and that’s good.”

Freya and Jodie shared a similar nature, inheriting the brutality of Mr. Lewis.

They had engaged in numerous immoral activities behind the scenes, which was the ultimate

retribution.

Leon sighed and remarked, “It’s a relief that she won’t continue with her wrongdoing.

The surveillance footage captured Freya collapsing to the ground, convulsing.

Meanwhile, Harold, who had been unconscious, gradually regained consciousness and opened his

eyes.

Simone stood up and suggested, “Let’s go and check on him.”
