She considered knocking on his door to ask about it, but seeing the time, she guessed he might not be home. Hesitating, she turned towards her own apartment.
She was about to unlock her door when she suddenly saw Wilfred returning.
"Wilfred," she called out.
He looked fatigued, but upon hearing her, he quickly looked up, taking out a packet of wet wipes from his pocket to clean his hands. "You're back." Nina noticed his pale complexion, which seemed even more washed out than usual. "Are you feeling unwell?" she asked.

As he approached, Nina caught a whiff of blood mixed with the sharp scent of antiseptic. "You don't look well," she observed.
Wilfred smiled, his voice gentle, "Work was busy today. I'm probably just tired. I'll be fine after srest." Nina glanced down and noticed a fresh cut on his wrist. Before she could say anything, Wilfred said, "I'm going inside now." Nina hesitated for a moment, then replied, "Alright." Wilfred went inside and closed the door, leaving an eerie silence.
Nina stood at her door, pondering. She had intended to ask him something, but now it would have to wait. Later that night, Nina was woken by loud noises from the apartment next door. Despite the good soundproofing in the building, she could hear what sounded like someone ransacking the place. She listened carefully and realized the noise was coming from Wilfred's apartment.
