"Don't worry, Zack. I'm on my way!" She ended the call in a rush, dashed down to the garage, jumped into the first sedan she found, and floored it toward the factory.

A blizzard raged outside, turning what should have been an hour's drive into a two-hour white-knuckle ordeal. Upon arrival, Marguerite found the factory besieged by fire trucks, their hoses unleashing torrents of water as flames danced menacingly into the night sky-a sight both magnificent and horrifying.

Zack, shivering and disheveled, scrambled toward her. "Ms. Lockwood! It's a disaster! Our entire stock is toast! President Penelope and Mr. Fitzgerald were here, fuming! They're demanding accountability from our plant! Ms. Lockwood, I can't afford this!" "President Penelope and Mr. Fitzgerald?" Marguerite paused, "Penelope was here?" "Penelope? I don't know any Penelope! It's the CEO of Poppy Petal Fragrances, Hackett, and his wife!" Hackett and Penelope! Marguerite scanned the chaos but saw no sign of them, her anxiety spiking. "Where are they?" "They went in after the fire!" Marguerite's mind buzzed with alarm.

Into the fire? The blaze was fierce enough to engulf the entire plant. Were they out of their minds? "Forget the fire! Find them and get them out!" Barging through the barricade with Zack trailing to stop her, Marguerite heard him blurt out, "Ms. Lockwood, you can't just barge in! It's chaos in there! President Penelope and Mrs. Hackett just arrived, but when their daughter heard our stock was gone, she rushed in without a second thought! They had no choice but to follow!" Before Zack could finish, they saw Penelope and Hackett emerging from a side door, dragging Yuna from the thick smoke, their faces smeared with soot, Yuna doubled over coughing.

Marguerite rushed over, her face flushed with concern. "Penelope, are you hurt? Check yourself, tellif you feel off!" "I'm okay. The fire hadn't spread when we went in. We just pulled Yuna out. The smoke's a bit much, though," Penelope said, her voice hoarse from smoke inhalation.

Relieved, Marguerite handed Penelope a tissue to wipe her face. Once Penelope had regained her composure, she turned to Marguerite. "Why did you cout here?"

Before Marguerite could respond, Hackett's reprimand ccrashing down. "She's in charge of the new product line. Who else would come? The fire has destroyed everything, and as the person responsible, Marguerite must bear the full brunt!"

Marguerite paled. The fire was a shock-she had checked the plant thoroughly before leaving; confident that there were no hazards. And with the cold snap, how could a fire start on its own? Feeling wronged but unable to argue as the project lead, Marguerite swallowed the blsilently.

Zack, seeing her hard work, spoke up timidly in her defense. "Mr. Fitzgerald, I don't believe Ms. Lockwood is at fault. She's diligent and strict with every department. Today, we finally finished production-an exhausting feat. Ms. Lockwood insisted on staying late, just to ensure no mistakes were made. Mr. Fitzgerald, Ms. Lockwood is the most responsible boss I've ever had. This fire-it can't have anything to do with her!"
