Chapter 2082 Didn’t Come Here for the Movie
Cindy's words made Ian smile. "I have only given you such a small thing. You saying this makes me feel like I haven't
been treating you well enough."
How did she get so happy with such a small gesture? he wondered. Will she go with Gary if he were to put in a little
more effort into pursuing her?
Her action of hugging his arm brought him out of his reverie, after which she hummed, "Okay, okay. I'll remember
what you just said. I'll be looking forward to living a good life with you."
After hearing Cindy's words, Ian reached out to lightly pinch her face.
They soon continued to walk around the shopping mall where she bought them fruit juices which they both held one
cup each.
He had to remove his mask everytime he took a sip, but it didn't bother him much. Now that they were a legally
married couple, there was nothing for them to be ashamed of or to feel like they needed to hide from the public.
After all, he had already been recognized at the airport earlier, so he didn't have a reason to be afraid of being

They were in the midst of taking their stroll when Cindy noticed someone holding a phone in their direction from the
corner of her eyes. However, she couldn't tell for sure whether the person was taking a selfie or a photo of them.
There is no need for me to be oversensitive, she convinced herself. There was nothing she could say even if the
person was indeed taking their photo.
Fans sometimes had a glass heart and saying anything to them would only worsen the situation.
As both Ian and Cindy pretended not to see anything, they continued to walk straight ahead.
They soon came to a corner where she saw a promotional poster of a new movie that was playing in the cinema. It
was a movie about patriotism that, unfortunately, didn't seem to be a favorite amongst movie viewers.
Cindy seemed to be in her thoughts for a moment before she pointed at the poster and hinted at him.
When Ian noticed her action, he turned to look at her and asked, "Wanna watch this?"
Since they didn't have anything particular to do, it seemed like the right time to watch the movie as it was about to
be screened in a short while.
She nodded in response. "Let's help increase the ticket sales of this movie. I have a feeling that it will be a great
one."
He didn't say anything more and merely nodded as they rose on the elevator to head to the cinema upstairs.
The place was still fairly empty as they came at a non-peak hour.
After they bought their tickets and snacks, it only took them a few minutes of waiting before they were let into the
screening room. Patriotic movies like this usually never attracted many viewers.
As expected, not even half the seats in the hall were filled. Cindy let out a sigh when she saw the empty seats. "A lot
of people prefer watching foreign action movies, but those movies all look the same to me. The only difference is
that their special effects are better. I don't even really remember the plot after I have finished watching it."
It wasn't that she had never watched foreign science fiction movies. Her problem with these movies was that she
couldn't even recall them well enough to talk about them!
"It may be because of how poorly the locally produced movies are being promoted," Ian explained his point of view
as they sat down on the empty seats that they had found. "Just look at the posters and trailers along the cinema
halls, which are mostly there to promote foreign movies. The cinemas themselves don't even promote the local
films that much."
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmSure, it was like what he had said. Cindy had noticed on her way over that a majority of the promotional posters on
the walls were on foreign science fiction movies or animated movies. Why do they exercise so much effort on
promoting foreign animated movies when the viewership of local movies is getting lower and lower with each
movie?
As a young woman who loved her country, the thought alone was enough to get her angry.
Ian passed her the basket of popcorn that they bought earlier before he started to cheer her up. "Come on, don't
be angry. Be a little happier! We came out today to have a day full of laughter!"
"I'm not angry anymore," she said after taking two deep breaths to calm herself. "There is no point in being angry
about something I can't change."
As they waited for the movie to start, Ian saw that there weren't a lot of people around them. Subsequently after
that, he took the chance to pull Cindy in for a kiss after placing his hand behind her head.
After being surprised by his sudden action, she quickly pushed him away and scolded in a low voice, "You better
watch what you are doing! There are a lot of people here!"
"No one is looking at us," Ian chuckled. "Look at how everyone is a couple here. They wouldn't be in the mood to
look at anyone else."
When she heard his words, Cindy carefully looked around the cinema where it was obvious that they probably didn't
come here for the movie.
