Chapter 51 2/2 The Omega: Mated To The Four Chapter fifty One The sound of a knock startledawake. Disoriented, I sat up, blinking into the darkness. The faint glow of enchanted sconces outside my window barely lit the room, casting long, eerie shadows on the walls.
Another knock echoed, louder this time. "Stormi?" a familiar voice called.
I stumbled out of bed, heart pounding, and padded to the door, running a hand through my tangled hair. "Coming!" I croaked, my voice hoarse from sleep. When I swung the door open, Rowena stood there with all four of my mates-Elijah, Alex, Isaiah, and Austin-waiting with varying degrees of amusement on their faces. Rowena crossed her arms, smirking. "I've been knocking for five minutes. Stormi, you're a heavy sleeper, and that's not good." I rubbed the back of my neck sheepishly. "Five minutes? Sorry, I guess I was more tired than I thought." Alex stepped forward, his brows furrowed in concern. "You okay?" I nodded quickly, avoiding his gaze. "Yeah, just... tired, that's all." Rowena sighed tically. "Well, you've kept everyone waiting. The feast is about to begin, and we can't start without the Silver Wolf and her entourage." Heat crept up my cheeks. "Giveone minute," I mumbled, darting back into the room to pull on my shoes and splash cold water on my face.

The stone corridors were dimly lit with floating orbs of golden light, casting a warm glow that contrasted with the cool air. The sound of our footsteps echoed off the high ceilings, blending with the faint hum of magic that seemed to pulse in the air itself. Rowena glanced over her shoulder, her expression softening. "Your training starts tomorrow, Stormi. We'll need at least a month to prepare you." Elijah's brows knitted together in frustration. "We don't have a month to spare. Every day we're here, more packs are at risk." Rowena raised an eyebrow at him. "Tto spare? I was going to say it's not enough." "She's right," I interjected, surprising even myself with the firmness in my voice. "A month doesn't feel like enough to prepare for something like this." Rowena nodded approvingly. "Good to see you're finally taking this seriously. But don't worry too much about time. Things work a little differently here." Isaiah tilted his head. "Differently how?" Rowena smirked, her tone cryptic. "You'll see soon enough. But rest assured, the tyou spend here won't cost the human world as much as you think. We can't send you out there unprepared. The Shadow Weaver is not an entity to be taken lightly." Austin frowned, his voice uncertain. "I thought the Shadow Weaver was imprisoned." Rowena's tone darkened, a flicker of unease crossing her face. "Yes, but its influence still seeps into the world. It can't reach this realm, thankfully. That's why we're safe here to prepare. But don't let that safety lull you into complacency. This mission will test every limit you have." As we continued walking, the walls grew more elaborate, lined with tapestries depicting wolves, witches, and glowing stones that I assumed were the keystone itself. The air felt heavier, charged with something ancient and powerful.

I don't miss much, and I've ready noticed you panting from the three flights of stairs we just took." My cheeks flushed, and I huffed in indignation." "I'm fine! But maybe you could add an elevator or escalator to this place, seeing as it has twelve floors." Rowena chuckled. "You're not wrong. But this isn't the human world Even though we try to keep up with modern times, we're still a little old-fashioned here." Alex raised an eyebrow. "Not the human world? But everyone knows the Umbral Society headquarters is in Europe." Rowena stopped walking and turned to face us, her expression tinged with amusement. “Europe is just a cover-a ruse to keep our enemies from discovering the truth. The real Umbral Society headquarters are hidden here, in the Uncharted Realm." I frowned. "The Uncharted Realm? What's that?" Rowena's smile deepened. "A place outside the reach, of gods and men. A land ruled by kindred spirits-the oldest and purest forms of magic." We exchanged uneasy glances. Isaiah was the first to speak, his voice low. "Kindred spirits?" Rowena waved a hand dismissively. "That's a lesson for another time. For now, just know this place is sacred. And safe." Curiosity burned in my chest, but before I could ask more, Rowena resumed walking. "Con, we're almost there." Finally, we stopped in front of two massive wooden doors. The intricate carvings on their surface shimmered under the light, as if alive.
Rowena placed a hand on one of the iron handles, glancing atwith a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Now, Stormi, try to keep up, will you?" "Why do I feel like I'm being singled out?" I muttered.
"Because you are," she teased, her grin widening. "If this is how you handle a few stairs, you're in for a rude awakening tomorrow." "I bet Mother could move faster than you," she added with a playful smirk.
"Burn!" Alex snickered, earning a sharp pinch from me.
Rowena chuckled before turning serious. "This feast isn't just a meal it's the beginning of your journey! Your training starts tomorrow, and it will push you to your limits. The path ahead is dangerous, and failure is not an option." With that, she turned back to the doors.
