Chapter 690 The Sun Has Set

Susan's face turned red again when she heard Randall say "I."

She looked down, ready to start the game, and suddenly understood what Randall

meant.

If Randall was a "glitch," but this "glitch" somehow made her level automatically restore and even increase after

she dropped a level. There was no such magical thing; it had to be Randall, the "glitch," who leveled up the

gevery tshe dropped a level.

Could it be that her skills were so weak that she dragged down her teammates, causing them to drop levels too?

Randall felt bad and always helped them level up again?

Susan sat there in a daze, and Randall noticed her out of the corner of his eye. "What are you spacing out for?"

"Randall, | don't want to play the ganymore," Susan said.

Randall glanced at the screen in Susan's hand. "What's wrong? Did someone say something to you?" He had

already warned everyone that if anyone told his "girlfriend" about him leveling up after the fact, he would make

sure they regretted it every tthey logged in.

"No one said anything. | just think my grandpa and | are better off playing spuzzle games," Susan said

clearly.

Randall took her phone and saw that no one had messaged her.

"What's going on?"

"| just don't want to play anymore. The gaddiction is gone, and I'm not

interested," Susan said, pulling out her phone. "Randall, keep working hard. I'm going to watch my shows."

Susan opened a bag of snacks and started watching her show while eating.

For Susan, who had been chubby as a child and wasn't picky about food as an adult, if there were snacks around,

she could keep eating non-stop.

Randall occasionally got up to hand over new files to the other secretaries. Seeing Susan engrossed in her show,

he smiled and went to the coffee room to get her a cup of water.

Susan was so focused on her show that she didn't even notice.

Later, Randall reminded her, "Susan, you should eat fewer snacks, have sfruit, and drink swater."

Susan replied, "But eating too much fruit can also make you sick."

At the Olteran Manor, Shawn called Susan. "Susan, the sun's already set. Why aren't you back for dinner yet?"

Susan said, "Grandpa, I'm at the office with Randall, working late."

Shawn frowned, disapproving. "Randall's working late like a dog. Why are you keeping him company? I'll send a

car to pick you up. Let Randall work alone; we don't care about him."

Susan's tone was soft but firm. "No, Grandpa, | want to go hwith Randall. Otherwise, he'll be all alone

working late, and that's too sad."

Nearby, Vera and Molly were sitting together. Molly said, "Dad's wasting his breath. Susan is the most

considerate person in the family when it comes to Randall."

Vera agreed, "So Susan definitely won't cback. Even if Randall works all night, she'd be happy to sleep at

the office."

Shawn, having heard Susan's answer, relented. "Alright, if you want to chome, just letknow, and I'll

send the driver."

After hanging up, Shawn sighed, "Randall is really lucky."

Vera and Molly exchanged knowing looks.

Sebastian, having finished dinner at the Olteran Manor, was about to leave. Vera got up tactfully. "I'll go get

Teddy."

Shawn wanted to keep him, but Sebastian glanced at Molly, who had no intention of seeing him off. "Dad, | have

a night shift tonight, so | can't stay."

Shawn was disappointed. "Another night shift?" Feeling sorry for Sebastian, Shawn called out, "Molly, go see

Sebastian off."

Molly, suddenly called out, and protested, "Why should I? He's not a guest. He can cand go as he pleases."

Shawn raised his cane, threatening Molly. "Are you going to see him off or not?"

Molly glanced at the cane, which was usually used to scare Randall, now about to be used on her. She caved, "I'll

see him off."

Sebastian gave Shawn a grateful look, finally getting salone twith Molly.

Vera, holding Teddy, patted his back and walked over to Shawn. "I didn't realize, Dad, you're quite the emotional

intelligence expert."

Shawn said proudly, "Of course. Whenever Vincent and Patrick had issues with their wives, who do you think

smoothed things over?"

Vera looked at the listless Teddy in her arms. "Sweet Teddy, don't learn from your grandpa. Be an honest little

boy, okay?"

Shawn was speechless. Vera was being annoying.

Vera quickly added, "But you should learn from your grandpa to be wise and smart."

Shawn continued to be proud.

Outside, Molly walked Sebastian to his car without saying a word.

Sebastian slowed his pace. "I heard from Mom that you're starting at the company next week. Not planning to

keep slacking off?"

Molly shook her head. "I've been slacking off long enough. If | keep it up, I'll really becuseless."

"That's okay. | love you even if you're useless."

Molly glanced at Sebastian, who was trying to please her, and changed the subject. "Sebastian, why did your

salary suddenly go up this month?"

"Really? Maybe it's because | solved a big case last month, and the boss gavea bonus."

"Is that so? Well, we're at the garage. You should go."

Sebastian looked at the car nearby, then back at Molly. "Molly, that night, | didn't mean anything else. | just

It's true, I've been your brother for so long. Quickly changing our relationship might make you feel stuck between

seeingas a brother and a husband.

If you don't want to seethese days, you can stay here. I'll visit you every day. When you're ready to go

home, I'll take you."

Molly's heart ached for Sebastian for a moment. She almost fell into the "pitiful" trap he set for her. "Sebastian,

actually, I..."

As she spoke, Molly suddenly remembered what kind of person Sebastian was. For the first time, she successfully

avoided the pit in front of her. "You must be tired from digging pits every day. Don't cto see me. Just go."

Sebastian was speechless.

Sebastian didn't get in the car, and Molly, afraid of getting scolded by Shawn if she went back too early, stayed

outside with him.

"Things aren't busy at the station lately. Do you want to chang out withthere?"

Molly said, "Teddy is sick. If I, as his aunt, goof off, my conscience will hurt."

Sebastian kept trying, and Molly got anxious. "Sebastian, just go. If you don't leave, | can't go home."

"Givea kiss."

Molly blurted out, "Do you have any shame?"

In the living room, Vera, holding Teddy, went to the window. She said Teddy hadn't been outside all day and

insisted on holding him by the closed window to look at the scenery outside.

Cindy was curious. "Vera, it's dark outside. What can Teddy see?"

Vera smiled knowingly. "Oh, it's not about what Teddy can see. It's about what | can see." She glanced out the

window at Molly and Sebastian. "Looks like they're having quite the conversation."

Cindy chuckled. "You always know what's going on, don't you?"

Vera nodded. "It's a gift. Now, let's hope they figure things out soon. Teddy needs his rest, and so do we."
