In North America’s Chinese community, Master Vail was a renowned figure, and countless people paid homage to
him, including high-ranking officials and nobles.
But he never imagined that he would come to Aurous Hill and be reduced to tears by Charlie’s bullying.
The stark contrast between his former glory and current predicament only added to his sadness.
And what pained him the most wasn’t the mistreatment he had just endured.
What hurt the most was the fact that he now had to swallow his pride and seek forgiveness from Charlie, with tears
streaming down his face.
This was the inevitable consequence of offending someone he shouldn’t have.
Master Vail knew deep down that the reason Charlie had punished him so severely was simply because he had
harbored selfish thoughts.
As he thought back to the elixir that Charlie had gifted him, he realized just how precious and valuable it was.
In fact, it was a priceless treasure.
And Charlie had given it to him for a reason, to bind him in servitude.
Despite his outward agreement, Master Vail had many reservations in his heart.
In fact, he secretly wished to bid farewell to Charlie and return to his former life in the United States.
Chastising himself for his indecisiveness, Master Vail thought, “You’re truly pathetic, Master Vail.
How could you be so foolish as to think Charlie would fall for your flattery? He’s too strong to be taken in by your
insincerity.
You’re lucky he hasn’t thrown you out yet.
Where else in the world could you find such a stroke of luck?”
Feeling remorseful for his behavior, Master Vail knew that he had no choice but to continue along with Charlie’s
plans.
After all, he had already taken the elixir and couldn’t return it even if he wanted to.
And with his connection to Charlie’s grandmother, he was unlikely to be allowed to leave Aurous Hill anytime soon.
Resigned to his fate, Master Vail resolved to remain loyal to Charlie, no matter what.
He would never stray from his path and would always be true to his word.
Only then could he hope to regain Charlie’s forgiveness and restore his cultivation base.

Charlie had already arrived at the entrance to the Elys-Champ Hot Spring, having taken the lead.
A sign at the entrance to the mountain read, “Hotel Closed for Renovations.
Sorry for Any Inconvenience.”
It was impossible to miss.
As they approached, they noticed two cars parked at the side of the road.
Several security guards dressed in uniforms were stationed inside the vehicles.
When Charlie’s car turned off the main road, one of the guards stepped out and blocked their path.
After the car came to a stop, Charlie stepped out and approached the guard.
“What’s the matter?” he asked, flashing a casual smile.
“Your hotel is closed for renovations, but you’re not even going to let me in?”
The man stationed at the entrance explained the situation to Charlie.
“This road isn’t a public one,” he said, “It was built by our hotel and the land it occupies was purchased by us.
So when the hotel shut down, we had the right to close the road.”
He then pulled out a document from behind the blocking sign and held it up for Charlie to see.
“Take a look at this,” he said, “It’s our document that proves our right to control access to this road.
It’s approved and stamped by the city council.”
With that, the reality of the situation sank in.
The Elys-Champ had closed its doors to the outside world, effectively creating a dead-end road at the foot of the
mountain.
It seemed that no one would be able to access the area anytime soon.
The hot spring hotels at the foot of the mountain were all closed, and even the hot spring villas halfway up the
mountain had shut down.
But the large, sprawling hotel with over 200 rooms, situated in a secluded area, had naturally become Charlie’s
preferred spot for cultivating his skills.
After the hotel shut down, Isaac had replaced all the staff with his own trusted people.
Don Albert had also dispatched a number of loyal subordinates to patrol the area, ensuring that no outsiders would
be able to penetrate the security measures.
The security guard who had blocked Charlie’s path was one of Don Albert’s men.
Charlie rolled down his window and flashed the guard a charming smile.
“The entire hotel is mine… Don’t I have the right to enter?”
When Charlie first cracked open the window, the security guard couldn’t see his face clearly.
But as soon as Charlie rolled it down completely, the man’s eyes widened in surprise.
“Master Wade!” he exclaimed, “I’m so sorry for not recognizing you earlier.
Please forgive me for any offense I may have caused.”
Charlie waved off his apology with a smile.
“No worries… You were just doing your job, and you’re doing it very well.”
The guard breathed a sigh of relief and said respectfully, “Master Wade, our boss is inside and very busy.
Shall I inform him of your arrival?”
Charlie shook his head.
“No need,” he said casually, “I’ll find him myself.”
The guard quickly moved the warning sign aside and gestured for Charlie to enter.
“Of course, Master Wade… Please go ahead.”
Charlie turned to the man beside him and said, “Hey, just a heads up.
If an old man with the last name Vail claims to know me and wants to come in, don’t let him through.”
The man nodded and replied, “Don’t worry, Master Wade.
I won’t let him in.”
Charlie flashed a grateful smile.
“Great, thanks for your hard work.”
With that settled, Charlie hopped into his car and drove over to the hotel.
As he arrived, he noticed Don Albert barking orders at a group of young men who were busy tearing down various
public facilities in the hot spring hotel.
It was clear that Don had caught wind of Charlie’s plans to train some martial arts masters here, as he was now
deep in discussion with Isaac about converting the large lecture hall into an indoor training facility complete with
upgraded fitness equipment.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThere was a significant project underway to enhance the privacy of the hotel.
All outward-facing doors and windows were being replaced with one-way glass, ensuring that the actual use of the
interior was kept confidential.
Moreover, Don Albert had arranged for an area outside the hotel to be filled with building materials.
He had stocked a vast quantity of items such as cement, yellow sand, scaffolding, and decorative raw materials.
This gives the impression that there was a significant renovation underway.
As Charlie arrived at the hotel’s entrance, he took in the sight before him and admired the hard work of Don Albert
and Isaac.
Though neither man was an expert in martial arts nor had any combat skills, they had proven to be very competent
as his right-hand men.
Despite Don Albert’s younger man agreeing not to inform his boss, Don Albert greeted Charlie as he arrived at the
door, wearing a cheerful expression and moving quickly to meet him.
Don Albert beamed at the sight of Charlie and said with a respectful smile, “Master Wade, why did you come here
today without informing us?”
Charlie smiled and replied, “I found a coach here.
I plan to introduce him to the working environment.”
Don Albert nodded, but looked a little puzzled as he asked, “Master Wade, where is the coach you mentioned?”
Charlie snorted nonchalantly and replied, “He’s in the back.
But don’t let him in today!”
“Don’t let him in?” Don Albert asked in surprise upon hearing Charlie’s words.
“Master Wade, you came here to introduce the instructor to the working environment, right? Why don’t you want
him to come in? I don’t understand…”
Charlie snorted casually and replied, “He’s a bit green around the edges.
You have to challenge yourself if you want to succeed, or else you’ll never know what you’re capable of.”
Don Albert instantly understood and said with a smile, “I see, Master Wade! In that case, let’s ignore him for now.
Come with me and let me share some of my adjustment ideas.
If you need anything, just let me know, and I’ll do my best to make it happen.”
Charlie nodded and said to Don Albert, “Let’s go!”
