Chapter 700 Gigi took a deep breath and looked solemnly at Brad on the hospital bed. "Nadine never loved you, Brad. She was just using you as a stand-in." Brad's brows drew together as he looked at Gigi, his eyes dark and unfathomable. He was taken aback for a moment before he shot daggers at Gigi. "You'll say anything just to slander your sister-in-law, huh? What's next? Are you going to start making things up?" Brad knew exactly how Nadine felt about him. If she didn't love him, why would she have cared for him selflessly for six long years? Brad was certain that Nadine loved him, and the reason she didn't seem to anymore was likely because her heart had grown cold. Hence, he didn't believe a single word Gigi said. Besides, Gigi had always held a grudge against Nadine, and badmouthing her was just another day for her.
"That's enough, Gigi! If you keep this up, don't blme for what I'm about to do next!" Gigi wasn't on the spage as Brad. The fact that her brother was still defending Nadine at a tlike this made her blood boil. No longer caring about her brother's health, she shook off her backpack, pulled out the folder, and slammed it onto the table in front of Brad.

The man in the picture had a face that looked almost identical to his own. Both of them had the salmond- shaped eyes, sharp brows, well-defined features, and a strong jawline. Even their lips were a near-perfect match. But the man in the picture had a buzz cut, the kind only someone in the military would have. He, on the other hand, had naturally wavy hair that curled slightly at the ends. It looked like an intentional perm, though it wasn't.
Aside from their hair, he couldn't spot any other differences between them.
The man looked no older than 20, with a bright smile that revealed a set of perfectly white teeth. He was holding a young girl in his arms. Her skin was fair and radiant, glowing like the smooth surface of a freshly peeled egg. It was so smooth and firm that her pores were nearly invisible.
She had double eyelids, and her large, dark eyes sparkled. She was the kind of girl one couldn't help but like at first sight. Her bangs were cut straight across her forehead, and it was obvious that she was a student. Her hands were wrapped around the man's waist as she smiled sweetly.

Sitting cross-legged on the hospital bed, Brad stared at the photo his left hand slowly curling into a fist. The veins on the back of his hand bulged as if they might burst at any second.
He was already brimming with hostility, and now it seemed ever more pronounced. His eyes were locked on the photo, as if his eyes alone could burn a hole through it.
Even though he didn't say a thing, Gigi could tell that he was trying to suppress his anger. She flipped the photo over over and continued, "Brad, this man is Jack Clarke, Nadine's childhood sweetheart. They've known each other since they were kids.
From what I've heard, they've been together since she was 12."
