The receptionist, noticing Rose’s appointment, spoke with a cheerful smile. “Rose, Mr.

Hersey is waiting for you. Please head upstairs!”

Nelson had no idea why Patrick had suddenly decided to meet with Rosc. He was

increasingly puzzled by Patrick’s actions.

Seeing Rose approaching, he chose to remain silent.
