Chapter 88 Did Anyone Bully You at School?

After replying to Scarlet Guild, Myrna felt thirsty and took her cup to get swater.

Just saw Calvin downstairs making a phone call, seemingly talking to someone, his voice very low: "Doubled

again? Quite rich. Don't respond to them for now, leave them hanging.... wait for them to increase again..."

"Who told you | was going to give it to you? Just leave it there for now, depending on my mood."

He caught sight of the girl coming down from upstairs out of the corner of his eye, and said to the person on the

other end of the phone, lowering his gaze, "That's it, you handle the rest as you see fit."

Myrna cdown just as he had hung up the phone. He looked up and saw the cup in Myrna's hand, put his

phone aside and said, "There's milk in the fridge, I'll heat up a cup for you."

Myrna had wanted to say that she didn't want to drink milk, but alas, he had already gone to the kitchen to get

it, so she could only wait for him to bring it over.

While waiting, she was wondering who he had just been on the phone. with.

Lost in thought, the man had already brought over the heated milk. His tall figure loomed over her, and only

then did Myrna realize he was taller than she had imagined. Her head barely reached his chest. Being so close,

Myrna could even hear his heartbeat.. Thump, thump, thump, it was beating powerfully!

Myrna's carlobes suddenly heated up, and there was a bit of heat in her chest. She subtly took a half step back,

but before she could move, a large hand had already wrapped around her waist.

"Don't move, there's a chair behind you." A magnetic male voice sounded above her head, yet it felt as if it was

whispering right next to her ear, husky and enticing.

The restlessness inside Myrna seemed to be stirred up even more. She remained stiff, not moving at all. His

breath was spraying on her neck, tickling her, like an electric shock.

Fortunately, Calvin steadied her with his arm, then gentlemanly removed his hand, passing her the warm,

steaming milk he was holding.

"Be careful, it's hot."

Myrna grunted noncommittally and, holding her cup, she buried her head and began to drink intermittently.

For sreason, she always felt that the atmosphere at that moment was strange. She couldn't pinpoint what

was strange, it was just a situation she had never encountered before. The surrounding air was like cotton,

entangling and yet so soft that she couldn't break free.

Calvin was watching the girl in front of him, her neck tilted. She was sipping her milk intermittently, holding the

cup, her long eyelashes lowered without uttering a word. Just looking at her serene, oval face always gave

people a sense of docility.

However, he had just witnessed her unhidden side at Melcester General Hospital a few days ago, and it was clear

that Myrna was definitely not the obedient character she appeared to be on the surface.

However, seeing her with her snow-white neck lowered, not looking at herself. Calvin felt relieved. He hooked up

the corner of his mouth and

brought up a topic himself. "How have you been at school these days?"

Upon hearing his words. Myrna felt slightly less tense. She lifted her gaze, her eyes relaxed as she casually said,

"It's okay."

Aside from having to sit in my seat and listen to the teacher's non-stop lecturing every day, everything else was

fine.

It just wasn't that free.

Calvin's deep gaze fell on her porcelain-white profile, suddenly asking. "Has anyone at school been bullying

you?"

"What counts as bullying?" Myrna didn't quite understand.

Was beating her considered bullying?

There wasn't.

At most. | just annoyed Stephanie by sending her text messages, but I've already been blocked by her.

Calvin recalled the information he had just obtained from a phone call to Melcester Central High School. Looking

at her dark, defiant eyes, he knew she had never taken those people seriously. Pressing his thin lips together, he

changed the subject: "It's nothing." He exchanged a few more words with Myrna, and seeing that she looked

somewhat tired, he had her go upstairs to sleep.

As soon as Myrna left, he turned and made a phone call.

"Blake..."
