the designing process.”

Angeline's expression darkened, and she could not help but hesitate.

From an outsider's perspective, she admired an independent designer like Joel.

However, she was the leader of Forrester Group. She must put the benefits of the group above everything else.

Joel noticed that Angeline felt troubled. He took out a thick portfolio and handed it to her. “This is my portfolio. You

can review it first.”

Angeline flashed him a heartfelt smile.

She opened the portfolio and flipped through the pages to see many colorfill and floral designs. She got more

surprised as she flipped through each page.

Joel had chosen to stay at such a secluded yet beautiful place to distance himself from the concept of expensive

spending in the city, yet liis designs had a certain uniqueness.

Angeline skimmed through the portfolio and could not help but be filled with admiration.

“All right. Welcome to Forrester Group, Mr. Quinn.”

She held out a hand to Joel.

In her heart, a voice reminded her that Joel was indeed the designer that she wanted and he could bring her profits

through liis designs.

Joel's expression was as dull as ever as he shook Angeline's hand.

At that moment, Evander lugged a suitcase and strode toward them from the airport entrance.

He wore sunglasses that covered half of liis face, but they could not conceal liis charming aura.

He attracted the attention of many surrounding women. They whispered among themselves. No one knew what

they were discussing.

Joel's grip on liis plane ticket tightened as he noticed the agitation in Evander's eyes.

“Ms. Sorelie is so sincere. How could I refuse her kindness?”

“I hope you're only going there for work.” Evander's words had different meanings. “Mr. Quinn, I believe you're a

smart man.”

Joel could feel the threat behind his words. His lips slightly curved upward, and he smirked.

He tightened his grip on liis suitcase and turned to walk into the boarding hall alone.

Angeline looked at liis retreating figure, and her eyes were filled with worry. She elbowed Evander before saying,

“Hey, what did you talk about with Joel at the hospital? Why did he suddenly hit you?”

Evander looked at her and answered placidly, “Why should I tell you?”

He took Angeline's suitcase from her and brushed past her.

Angeline stood rooted to her spot. Her face turned ashen at liis words.

What a petty man. Is it because I didn't tell him that I was discharged? Now he's just taking revenge by doing the

same. Whatever.

I don't care if he doesn't want to tell me. It's not like I really want to know.

The flight took more than twelve hours before Angeline and the others arrived in Hallsbay.

It was already eight o'clock at night when they arrived, and there weren't many people at the airport. At first

glance. Angeline noticed Nancy holding hands with Sebastian, who had a banner in his other hand.

The banner was written in Ustranasion: Welcome home, Mr. Quinn!

Joel's expression softened, but liis tone was still harsh. “She's the same as she was when we were in school. How

childish.”

Angeline chuckled. “It seems that you know her quite well. She's very excited to welcome you. She told me she

would be here when we were boarding.”

Joel kept quiet and only raised his eyebrow. It was obvious that he was in a good mood.

Nancy brought Sebastian over to welcome them. She reached out and pulled Joel into her warm embrace.

“Joel, welcome back. I was wondering if you had become a caveman.”

Joel wrapped his arms around her and answered without hesitation. “Nancy, if you were better at talking, you

would've already gotten yourself a boyfriend.”

“You...” Nancy felt hurt and punched liis chest. “Jerk.” However, she forgave him after rolling her eyes at him. She

smiled as she said, “Let's not stand here anymore. I made a reservation at a restaurant. Let's go there.”

“Wait.” Angeline stopped them. She then turned to look at the hatch of the plane.

Evander. who had gotten off the plane with them, looked more lonely. Only Sylas was there to welcome him.

Sylas hurried forward and respectfrilly took Evander's suitcase from him.

Sebastian's eyes sparkled in excitement as he jumped up and down when he heard the news.

Angeline breathed a sigh of relief and walked over to hug him as she comforted him gently.
