Chapter 267
“Congratulations.” Hanson smiled, pressing his warm hand on Angeline's shoulder. “From today onward. Angeline
will be in charge of the management of Forrester Group. I hope everyone will cooperate with her. If any help is
required, Yiurk Group will do its best to assist.”
“Understood!” the employees exclaimed in unison. No one dared to look down on Angeline any longer.
At that moment, Angeline recalled what had happened the last time in the cafe. I've made preparations for the
matter Jonathan reminded me of. Since Hanson's here today. I might as well mention it.
She recomposed herself and wore an amiable smile. “Thank you for your support, everyone. Now that I've returned
to Forrester Group, the rules shall be strictly enforced. I'm planning to hold a fashion show next Wednesday, and I
expect everyone to attend when the time conies.”
“Sure!” Excitement was visible on the employees' countenances.
Forrester Group was originally a small, unremarkable company. It had been a long time since the company was that
lively.
Angeline blinked at Hanson in a friendly manner. “You'll support my decision, right, Mr. Yiurk?”
“Why didn't you discuss this significant matter with me beforehand?” Hanson looked at her with dissatisfaction.
She was unsurprised to see his grave expression. He's reacting exactly the way I expected him to. If something
involves benefits, regardless of who he's dealing with, he'll immediately turn into a different individual. Honestly, I'm
only able to face him calmly right now because I saw this coming. “We're currently partners, so I still have the right
to decide on many matters. The fashion show will only benefit Forrester Group, and I doubt you would mind

At his silence, she continued, “Or are you saying you aren't willing to use your connections to help Forrester
Group?”
Angeline grinned at him. She lifted her hand and naturally swept away the lint on Hanson's tie.
Then, raising her head, she saw the scowl on his face and thought it was amusing. What a hypocrite!
“I'm fine with it,” Hanson replied in a deep voice. “Whatever you need, Yiurk Group will provide. I merely hope the
results won't be too disappointing.”
The most important tiling about Angeline's statement earlier was that she didn't give him a way out. That was why
he was ticked off.
“Relax. I'll do my very best with the fashion show so as to not disappoint you. Mr. Yiurk.” Angeline beamed.
She didn't care if he was happy about it or not. It was enough for her as long as she could achieve her goal.
After the meeting was officially over, the employees returned to their stations happily, still relishing Angeline's
appearance.
No one dared to look down on her anymore because she had had the guts to argue with Hanson in public.
Bang!
When Carl returned to his office and saw Angeline's gift, he slammed his documents on the table and growled,
“That evil, vicious woman!”
“That's enough. Why are you shouting? Aren't you afraid the employees will hear you?” It was then a man wearing
a pair of black-framed glasses and with a long beard entered the room.
“You have some guts to say that to me, Mr. Valentine! You people from the design department didn't utter a single
word back in the conference room and allowed that woman to say whatever the heck she pleases to embarrass
me!”
The more he thought about it, the angrier he got.
He had thought he could live his life in peace as the finance director and that Angeline's arrival would pose no
threat to him.
However, because of his rash actions today, she had got dirt on him.
Alexis Valentine calmly listened to Carl's furious questioning.
He reached out to open a folder and when he saw the content, the look in his eyes turned frigid. “This woman's
quite capable.” I can't believe she even managed to get her hands on important information like this. It's
undeniable that she has him completely cornered.
“Stop kicking me when I'm down!” Carl pulled his hair with a look of despair. “Don't forget, both of us did it. If she
decides to look deeper into the matter, you and I are going down together.”
A cold glint appeared in Alexis' eyes, but he quickly put it away. With a chuckle, he said, “Look at your bad temper.
Do you think getting yourself worked up can solve the problem? The design department kept quiet in the
conference room because we couldn't be bothered to argue with a half-witted leader like Angeline. Didn't I come
here to see you right after the meeting ended?”
Carl snorted. “Do you have a solution, then?”
Alexis walked toward the door, shut it. and returned to the desk. He whispered, “Rather than allowing someone to
get a hold of your dirt and spending the rest of your days here with worry, why not end tilings instead?”
Carl was shocked, but when he saw the determined expression on Alexis' face, he wavered. “What are you planning

“If you do exactly as I say, I promise you'll lead a blissful life in the future. However, if you follow Angeline. you may
get booted out of the company one day.”
Carl hesitated but ultimately agreed, “Fine! It's a deal!” I'm just an insignificant finance director, and I doubt
Angeline will throw away the dirt she has on me. Since I can't win against someone as powerful as her, I might as
well find myself a backer and take her out!
Over the next few days, Angeline took care of Sebastian while preparing for the fashion show.
To reorganize the company effectively, she implemented a series of rules and regulations.
On her first day. she enforced a clocked-in system. Everyone, regardless if they were an employee or the leader of
the organization, had to arrive at the company before ten in the morning. One hundred would be deducted from an
individual's salary for every minute they were late.
The employees were used to being lazy, so after a few days, they started complaining about the system.
Some even started calling Angeline “The Ice Queen" behind her back.
Angeline felt rather resigned when she heard that. I didn't expect to become the employees' public enemy only
after taking over the company for a few days. However, I won't relent. This is necessary. Otherwise, they'll only
continue to act however they please, and Forrester Group will never achieve greatness.
Soon, the day of the fashion show arrived.
While Hanson was still upset about her decision, he did promise her he would back her up. He had no choice but to
get everything done properly.
