The crowd was surprised and panicked when they saw it was Evander and made way for him to pass through.

On the other hand, Angeline stood still when she saw Evander. She was frozen to the spot as a glimmer of surprise

flittered across her eyes.

Why is he here? Why did he have to see this?

“Mr. Golding.”

Just then, Zeferino stepped forward and extended his hand to Evander as his gaze flooded with gentleness.

“It’s been a while. What brings you here?”

“Yes, it has been a while.”

“Joan Group and Golding Group have been in collaboration for years. It’s rare for you to hold an event, Mr. Levert,

so I naturally have to show my support. Sylas.”

Sylas walked up to them respectfully with a gift in his arms after he heard Evander calling for him.

“Mr. Levert, this is a gift specially selected by Mr. Golding for this event. We hope you’ll like it.”

Zeferino gestured for his assistant to take the gift. Then, he turned to Evander and said with a smile, “Your

presence alone is already showing me respect and honors me. You didn’t have to waste your money.”

Evander’s gaze fell on Siobhan, and the corners of his lips curled up. He reminded Zeferino meaningfully, “Is that

so, Mr. Levert? However, I can’t say that you’ve shown me the same respect.”

Zeferino’s expression turned grim following Evander’s words. He then fell silent for some time.

“Siobhan is indeed immature and crossed the line, but this happened abruptly and was witnessed by many people.

“Perhaps Ms. Sorelle has to go to the police station.”

fake.”

The crowd gasped after hearing that.

Siobhan instinctively took a step back, rage filling her eyes.

“Angeline, I can’t believe you’re making up such a lie to avoid taking responsibility for your crime. I’m sure

someone like you hasn’t seen a luxury item before. How dare you talk—”

Before she could finish her sentence, a loud smack rang out as Angeline suddenly took out a jadeite necklace from

the inner compartment of her bag and placed it on the table.

The jadeite was eye-catching and even more stunning than Eternal Heart.

A man in the crowd recognized the piece and broke the silence.

“My goodness. Isn’t that Heart of the Ocean? There’s only one in the whole world! I heard a young man bought it

for one billion not long ago. This piece is beautiful!”

When Angeline heard his words, she felt her eyelids twitch. Flabbergasted, she turned to look at Evander.

She knew that anything Evander gifted was definitely not average in price.

Angeline bent down and asked her gently, “Sweetheart, can you lend me your glass of water?”

“Sure!”

The little girl smiled sweetly at Angeline as she was won over by the latter’s friendliness.

Angeline took the water glass. Immediately after, she poured a drop of water onto the surface of the diamond.
