Chapter 1386 Mr. Perkins Is Angry
On the other side, Marcellus glanced at his watch, noting that twelve minutes had passed since Beryl had left. The
restroom was at the end of the corridor and this floor was exclusively VIP rooms, so it wasn't particularly crowded.
Why hadn't she returned yet?
Was she feeling unwell from drinking or had she simply left?
Marcellus found himself somewhat distracted. Ever since Beryl left, he paid no attention to the woman at his side
despite her best efforts to engage him.
He was uninterested. Without Beryl around, his mood plummeted, and her presence only made him less inclined to
entertain others.

distorted faces under the influence of alcohol only made him more irritated.
"Hey, where did Zane go?" Someone suddenly asked. No one answered, but the question reached Marcellus's ears.
It was as if something heavy had suddenly dropped on his heart, breaking his emotionally detached shell and
sobering him considerably.
Beryl had gone to the restroom, and Zane had followed right after. His attention had been solely on Beryl, he had
completely forgotten about the other man who had also disappeared...
Having grown up frequenting various bars, Marcellus had a pretty clear idea of what might be going on. But, due to
his emotional state, he had overlooked it.
He abruptly rose from the couch, heading out of the booth without a word, leaving everyone inside puzzled.
The music stopped, and someone asked in confusion, "What's wrong, Mr. Perkins?"
The music stopped, and someone asked in confusion, "What happened to Marcellus?"
"Miss Juliet went to the restroom a while ago, she hasn't come out yet..."
Before he could finish, Marcellus headed toward the restroom. His long stride, accentuated by the sharp rustle of
his suit pants, quickened as he neared the restroom, his heart sinking further with each step.
When he saw the "Under Maintenance" sign in front of the women's restroom, his heart dropped.
Without hesitation, he walked in, guided by the faint sounds of struggle, and accurately located one of the stalls. He
didn't knock or call out, instead, he directly kicked open the door.
With a loud thud, the flimsy door crashed into the man's back, causing Zane to howl in pain.
"Ouch! Dammit! Who the hell dares..."

The cursing stopped as soon as he saw Marcellus's face. Zane blinked, taken aback, "Mr. Perkins?"
Marcellus's gaze moved past him, landing on the fragile figure cornered in the back.
The girl's clothes were almost entirely torn, the loose fabric barely hanging on her body, offering little to no
coverage. Her underwear was tossed aside, her hair disheveled and matted with tears on her face, and a dark red
smear of blood at the corner of her mouth.
Marcellus felt as if all the blood in his body had rushed to his head. He stepped in, the already cramped space
further tightened by his entrance.
He crouched down to look at the trembling girl, taking off his jacket to drape it over her.
The moment his fingers touched her, Beryl shivered violently, apparently still in shock from the recent scare.
"Don't be afraid," Marcellus said, with some difficulty. Seeing the red marks on her neck and her slightly swollen
face, his heart felt as if it was being brutally torn, "Are you hurt anywhere?"
Beryl was still trapped in the nightmare. Zane's belt had already been undone. If Marcellus hadn't stormed in, she
might have...
