“You went to her school? Why didn’t you tellbeforehand?” Sasha sounded groggy, like she had just woken
up, yawning repeatedly.
Keira didn’t entertain her excuses and pressed again, “I'm asking you-where is Nina?”
“She's at school. I'll send you the address. Today's a parent-child day, and there's a lunch event at noon. | was
too tired to go, so...” She trailed off, casually offloading the responsibility onto Keira before hanging up.
A moment later, Keira received a text with the location of a kindergarten.
