Chapter 198 The nurse’s words had Estrella rising from the bench, “Alright, you get the admission paperwork started. I'll go handle the payment.” “Sure thing,” the nurse replied. “I'll have the doctor prepare the paperwork, and you can head over to the billing department.” Estrella had heard that there was a spike in fever cases recently, and after her visit to the hospital, she was reluctant to return home, fearing she might pass something on to little Isaac. After all, Isaac was just over a year old, with a fragile inmune system.
Once the admission was sorted, the doctor informed Estrella that because she had a cold a few days ago, her high fever now required an injection. Trusting the doctor's judgment, Estrella rolled up her sleeve for the shot.
Sitting on the couch beside the hospital bed, Estrella couldn't help but lament how she for seemed to have lost her immunity to her hometown’s environment after being away three years. She had only been back for a short while and had already fallen ill twice.

As she was getting her injection and half-watching TV, the door to the room suddenly swung open. Estrella turned to see Bryce strolling in with a bag full of her personal items. “Thank you, Bryce.” “No worries.” Bryce said, setting down the bag and then placing several containers of food on the table. “Come on, let's eat.” Bryce had called her earlier to ask where she was, and upon hearing she was at the hospital, Bryce had dropped everything to come over.
As Bryce laid out the meal, Estrella shuffled closer, her heart warming at his thoughtfulness. “You always take such good care of everything.” Bryce was a natural at looking after others. Whoever ended up as his wife would be living a charmed life.
Sitting down at the table, Bryce gently pushed a stray lock of hair from Estrella’s face. “Don't just focus on work. Your health is your capital.” “I know, | know,” Estrella reassured him.
Bryce promised, “Once you're better, I'll make sure you're well-nourished.” He had wanted to ask Estrella if having Isaac without telling anyone was worth it, but every time he saw how much Isaac resembled her and how adorably Isaac called him ‘Daddy,’ Bryce swallowed his questions.
With her left hand still attached to the IV, Estrella took up her fork with her right and looked up at Bryce. “Stop worrying about me.

Bryce straightened his hair, feigning annoyance. “Where do you get the strength to hit people when you're sick? Focus on eating.” Later, after Estrella finished her meal and Bryce had tidied up the room and assured the Dorvold family that all was well, he stayed with her until past nine in the evening before he finally got up to leave.
