Chapter 43 Menu Logan stayed silent for a long moment before mockingly nodding. "If you want to be unreasonable, so be it." Even now, he refused to admit any fault. In his eyes, everything was still my doing. I didn't even want to argue with him anymore.
I'll move out of your house," I said calmly.
"My house?" His eyes narrowed, his tone sharp. “Elaine, you've never considered that place your home, have you? It's a shmy parents cared so much for you." I pressed my lips together. Didn't he realize? I didn't want his parents' affection-I wanted his. But it didn't matter anymore. I had already decided to separate from him, so there was no point in explaining.
"Mr. Mercer, I'll get back to work," I said firmly, avoiding any mention of quitting. I wanted to see the amusement park project through to the end.

I looked at him-the face I'd admired for ten years-and replied with finality. "Yes, Logan. I want to break up with you. From now on, you are you, and I am me. It was Selene.
Her eyes flickered with panic before she forced a smile, trying to appear friendly. "Elaine, you're back?" I didn't respond, my gaze falling to the document in her hand.
The red header of Mercer Corporation caught my attention. It was an internal company document- something only employees should have access to. What was she doing with it? Her presence here was surprising enough. Seeing her with that document was even more shocking.
Sensing the tension, Selene's smile faltered, and a hint of embarrassment crossed her face. "I'm here to deliver documents to Mr. Mercer," she said, her words rushed.
The way she addressed him as “Mr. Mercer” clarified everything for me. Logan hadn't just kept her hidden-he'd brought her into the company.
Maya hadn't mentioned this to me. Perhaps she was too busy, or maybe she'd deliberately avoided tellingto spare my feelings.

It wasn't that I wanted to be rude to a pregnant woman, but it was basic etiquette to let someone exit Before entering. Selene hesitated, then stepped aside. I walked out quickly without looking back.
