Gideon was glaring daggers at Calliope from across the room. He thought she should have helped them by now.
But here they were, and she hadn't uttered a single word.
Calliope was at a loss for words herself. How could he be this unreasonable?
"Gideon, you're the one who tried to throwunder the bus, and now you expectto bail you out? If you
hadn't tried to mess with me, none of this would be happening. It's called getting what you deserve!"
Calliope casually munched on spopcorn. She couldn't be bothered to deal with Gideon's tantrum.
Silas, surveying the group that had tried to corner Calliope earlier, ordered, "Give them saphrodisiac and
lock them in a room with Fleur."
"Got it!" Damien nodded immediately.
Calliope froze for a moment, her gaze darting toward Silas. His expression was cold and unyielding; he wasn't
joking around. She could sense that they had truly pushed him over the edge this time.

Silas had earned his reputation through more than just good looks and charm. People feared his nfor a
reason—when he was angry, he was downright terrifying.
Calliope shot a sympathetic glance at Fleur.
"What are you planning to do?" Gideon shouted, panic rising in his voice. "What are you going to give my mom?
Silas, have you lost your mind? That's your sister-in-law! How can you do this? Aren't you afraid of what my
father and grandfather will say? They've always treated you well, and now you're treating my mother like this!"
Gideon was in a frenzy. He knew Silas wouldn't let things slide, but he never imagined he would go this far—to
the point of putting his mother in such a humiliating situation. If word got out, neither he nor his father would be
able to show their faces again.
He looked at Silas, desperate to see if he was bluffing or if he was truly serious.
Meanwhile, Silas turned to Calliope. "Callie, do you think I'm going too far? Are you afraid of me? I'm really
angry."
Calliope shook her head, unperturbed. "Why would | be afraid? They're getting a taste of their own medicine."
She had no intention of pleading for Fleur. After all, Fleur was the one who had tried to trap her first. If Calliope
hadn't had the means to defend herself, she would have been left with nothing but regrets.
She had no sympathy for someone who had set her up. If Fleur was going to dish
it out, she should be ready to take it.
Silas seemed relieved by her response.
