Chapter 471 Chapter 471 Levi's p.o.v.

The moment we hear Maleah growl, we know she found something and I am not sure if we are going to like it. I get why Elyse went along with the charade, but Max should have known this wasn't in the best interest of the Pack.

Like everyone else I just listen to Maleah as she starts reading Max's journal.

I can't believe it, not once in all the years since I turned eighteen did my Lycan feel a connection to a female and now I have found her. Lola, I watched her the past two years as she tried to convince one of my Sons to take her as a chosen Mate.

I am glad they never took her up on her offer, I am glad that she is still available to me. Lola is also surprised to find out there is a connection between us and I am going to take advantage of the fact that Elyse and I don't have a true Mate-bond.

Lola is willing to move into a cottage, not to far from the place I share with Elyse. Yes, share. We haven't been a real couple since she got pregnant with my Sons, she did what I asked of her and that is when I decided I was no longer interested in her. My Lycan wasn't to sad about not sleeping in the sbed anymore, like me, he believed she had served her purpose.

The only thing we both hate, is that we are no longer the Alpha. It could have been fun to see this unfold in front of the Pack, to see how they would respond to their Alpha rejecting their Luna and replacing her with another female.

I spend almost every night with Lola and I was surprised to find that she hadn't slept with another male. I got the privilege of being her first and her last, because I couldn't stop my Lycan from marking her.

I expected Elyse to ctothe next day to ask why her mark was gone, but she didn't bring it up at all. We didn't discuss it until she caughtwith Lola and I was surprised when she toldthat her mark had vanished years ago, she just decided to keep it from me.

Elyse only gaveone warning; if I had the guts to show to the rest of the Pack that I had another Mate, she would cclean about everything.

Maleah looks up at all of us, the shock and confusion written all over her face. I think we need to process this, before we will allow Maleah to continue reading. I mean, Max would have thrown Elyse to the Wolves, so the speak, if he still had been the Alpha and he wouldn't have shown her any mercy.

I can't imagine what it has been like for Elyse to know that her Mate was sharing the bed of his fated Mate, I am just glad that she didn't feel the pains of betrayal. Yes, even with being chosen Mates she could feel the pains of betrayal, but not as excruciating if there had been a true Mate-bond.

My hand is resting on Maleah's knee, as she is rubbing her thumb up and down over the back of my hand. Largo is softly purring in the back of my head, feeling content with his Mate this close by and I just enjoy her presence to calm down. I know this isn't the end of Max's journal and I wonder if the rest will be any good for my mood.

"Okay, there is one more entry into this journal. Wantto read it to you?" Maleah asks and the moment Dominic nods his head, she start reading.

My Sons have lost their minds, letting their Luna control any part of Pack business. I need to get control back and the only way to accomplish that is by killing them.

It is a good thing that Lola is carrying the next heir to Blood Crescent Pack, it will make taking my Sons down a lot easier. If the Pup turns out to be a female, I will find her a suitable Mate and train him myself to take over. If it is a male, I will make sure he is raised to be just likeand his Luna will never have a say in Pack business.

I will have to find another Beta and Gamma, just like I will need a new Head Assassin. None of them chose my side, when my Sons found my added Pack rules and they even allowed the Pack to vote on them. How the fuck do they think you should run a Pack? My only problem will be that stupid Bitch, Maleah. How did no one see that she was the Angel of Death? I know, I didn't see it either and I am still wondering how that is possible. My Father was always quick to figure out who a new Assassin was and so was my Grandfather, so why didn't I see it? "Because none of us saw it, Jackass." Mack growls and I hear Maleah giggle. Max is right though both his Father and Grandfather? were great at determining the identity of a new Assassin. 10 remember Grandpa telling us about how he tried to trick his Alpha, he would always leave a nof the list of newly trained Assassin and every this Alpha was able to tell him it was one of our own.

"Maybe we can invite our Grandfathers over and make ssort of gout of it. See if anyone can figure out who the Angel of Death is." Kay says and I see smiles on everyone's face. We know they always like a good challenge when they cover and this one might be a slight challenge for them.

"Fine, but first we need to clean up sshit." Maleah says as she places the files on the coffee table. A knock on the door keeps her from talking and a moment later Harvey and Pauline walk in, both with a huge grin on their face.

Pauline hands Maleah a tablet and Harvey hands one to Delaney, we look over her shoulder to see news reports on Rogues being found in very public places. Each of them are dead, which is good to see it the pictures and I have to look really close to see what they did to them exactly.

I remember this from the one-sided conversation Maleah had with Nishay and i see that I am not the only one that is looking very V uncomfortable. "Oh my go the They wonder how long you have been hiding those Rogues before dumping them." Delaney says with a smile and that is when I see that the Angel of Death is mentioned in every news report.

"Fortune, when did you grow wings?" I say teasingly into Maleah's ear and I hear her laugh through our mind- link.

Anyone with a little bit of common sense would be able to see this couldn't be done by one person, mo matter how you turn and twist it. Largo chuckles in my head, before he asks "How will they try to pin this on her when the next stage of this assignment gets completed?"

I repeat Largo's question out loud and Maleah has to explain what Largo was talking about. "I want to take out all the wolves and Lycans out y that handed over the Pups in the snight. During the Spring Ball." Maleah responds and for a little while it is quiet, before Dillon looks at her with a questioning look. We show our Alphas what we have been working on and for the next hour we discuss how to execute this plan, how to prepare everything. Mack and Harvey explain the teams, before Maleah tells them how she plans on taking them out.

"Okay and what about the other more important players in this?" Dominic asks and all eyes are on our Mate, curious about how she plans to handle that part of the assignment.

"We will take our twith those individuals. After the Spring Ball they will go into hiding, cranking up their Kand security and I want them to think they dodged a bullet. The moment one of them relaxes, we will strike." Maleah says and we are once again reminded of her number one rule: She decides when a target dies and not a
