Chapter 571 I Think You Are
Alec was somewhat surprised by the seriousness of her question. He gave it some serious thought for several
minutes.
After what seemed like a year, he met Jenny's gaze again. "I like how dedicated you are and how strong you make
yourself be. I like everything about you."
The first time Alec had seen her, she was tending to a patient. The patient hadn't believed in her skill and had called
for the hospital director to vouch for her. Alec had stepped in to vouch for her instead. He hadn't thought much of it
at first-he just wanted to plant a good impression n.ovelxo since he also wanted Jenny to operate on him.

the time they had spent together did he realize he had fallen for her the moment he got to know her.
"I'm not as nice a person as you say I am, you know," Jenny huffed. She wasn't a saint.
"That's alright. All that matters is that I think you are," Alec beamed. Jenny was the most wonderful creature he had
ever laid eyes on.
Jenny stayed quiet as if deep in thought.
"Are you...considering being my girlfriend?" Alec asked. It was possible, given how sudden this question came. He
had truly made a mistake back then. If she gave him another chance, he'd never ever hide anything from her
again.
Jenny was thinking that too. She did like Alec, and staying in this weird friends but not quite lovers situation was
getting pretty pointless. But on account of Graham still on the fence about helping Alec, she decided," Let's wait till
after we've dealt with the Glass family. Your strength will only show in the city if you take care of them."
She could put in a good word with Graham afterward, too. n.ovelxo Though, she honestly didn't care what Graham
thought of Alec. All she was worried about was if Graham would do something to hurt Alec in the future when she
started dating him again.
Jenny suddenly empathized with Alec for having hidden the situation with Mortimer Faust from her. She was in the
same boat now.
"Okay." Alec grinned. A definite answer was better than not knowing where to set his sights.
As their conversation ended, Graham called Jenny's number to check on her. "It's late," he said. "Come home."
"Get going then. It is late," Alec said. n.ovelxo He would miss her, but they had all the time in the world now.

Probably just going to plan how to rescue Stephanie. We'll take action the day after."
"Alright." Alec nodded. "I'll come with you the day after."
"You don't need to. Paul can't do anything with my father here," Jenny said hesitantly. If Alec went along with her,
there was a good chance his friendship with Paul would end right there. As much as Jenny despised Paul, she still
didn't want Alec to lose a friend.
"It's okay. He’d have heard about everything even if I didn't go." n.ovelxo Alec shrugged. Paul wasn't to be taken
lightly. He had quick reflexes and would make a move the moment Stephanie was gone. Alec would be in just as
much trouble then.
Jenny didn't dissuade him further. She went back across the hallway to her apartment.
