Chapter 4228

"Everything's fine.

Kendall smiled as she spoke in a lilting tone, "My sect master's absorbed too many children's spirits

and fainted from the force."

Kendall cast a glance at Skylar before she continued to say, "I've taken a look at him, and he's fine.

He'll be alright with a few days of rest."

Fainted?

Orlando's brows knitted at the words.

Kendall did not bother explaining further. She walked forward and picked up Skylar. "I'm going to

take him away so he can heal by himself. Let His Majesty know if he returns and is curious about it."

Kendall's face was the picture of seriousness as she spoke, but her eyes flashed slyly.

Kendall was an intelligent woman. She knew that it would be difficult to kill Skylar, and if she were to

leave him there, the news of her attacking him was sure to get out once he woke up.

On top of that, Kendall did not understand most of the information in the scroll. Thus, her best bet

was to leave with Skylar and question him about it when he woke up.

"You can't do that!"

Orlando rejected her statement without a moment's hesitation. "His Majesty specifically

instructed me to watch after Honorable Master Blanc with my best efforts. You can't take

him away."

Orlando was wary of her intentions then as he stared at Kendall.

That woman was a strange one. Skylar could recover in the palace, which was the safest

place for him to do that. However, she insisted on taking him away. It certainly was

suspicious.

Orlando raised his hand.

At the signal, the guards behind him immediately surrounded Kendall.

At the same time, there was a smile on Orlando's face. "I know you're one of Honorable

Master Blanc's subordinates, but please don't make things hard for me."

Kendall's stunning features grew ashen with fury.

Orlando did not know what he was getting himself into as he tried to stand in her way.

Kendall did not waste her breath any further. She turned to Skylar and said, "Don't test my

patience. I'm taking him with me today. Get out of the way before you piss me off.”

What a crazy woman!

Orlando's face flushed as anger flared in his chest.

Who gave that lowly Five Poison Sect Master the right to act out like that on royal

grounds?

If that had happened in the past, Kendall would not have been half as arrogant as she was

then. However, she had the ancient poisonous centipede's internal energy and Skylar's

fiend soul energy, so no one could stop her then.

Under those circumstances, Orlando was hardly her match. Not even Lord Kenny could lay

a finger on her if he were to return then.

"Master Jones."

Orlando finally snapped back to his senses. He stepped forward and pointed an angry finger at

Kendall. "You're the one testing my patience here. Know your place, and leave as you wish. There is

no way I will let Honorable Master Blanc go with you. Don’t force my hand."

"You must have a death wish!" Kendall finally lost her patience; a murderous expression took over

her face.

'How insolent!"

Orlando lost his temper. A strong aura emanated from Orlando's body as he roared and brandished a

long sword. He charged in Kendall's direction.

The long sword pierced through the atmosphere and constricted the air with a terrifying force.

Orlando's approach only deepened the look of disdain on Kendall's face.

"I was not going to entertain your antics, but it seems like you really do have a death wish. Well,

don't blame me for this." Kendall smirked as she spat the words out. Following that, she exploded

with energy and enveloped the entire Prayer Tower with a terrifying force.

That force made everyone gasp, including Orlando and the other royal guards.

Orlando could hardly breathe.

Kendall was much stronger than she had been a few months ago. Her strength had grown to a

terrifying degree.
