Chapter 4043

"Hey!"

Mona was the first to react, yelling harshly at Darryl. "What are you looking at? Keep it up and see if I'll dig your

eyeballs out." she punctuated her sentence with a fierce glower.

Darryl was unperturbed by the threat, cracking up into laughter.

That young lady had such a fierce temper.

"Why are you laughing?"

Mona was practically ablaze with annoyance, she was about to raise her hand, but Lia stopped her.

"Cut it out, Mona." The words were spoken in a gentle tone but held immeasurable power.

Mona was a lady who lived with no fear—except for her sister, she cast her most evil glare at Darryl, stomping

away.

"Excuse me."

Lia spoke as her eyes were trained on Darryl. "Who are you?"

"Me?"

At Lia's query, Darryl merely smiled. He did not answer right away. Instead, he responded

with a question. "You must be Demon Warriors, yes?"

"Yes!"

Lia nodded. "My father is the white Tiger King."

Next to her, Mona piped up in a smug tone. "Do you know who the White Tiger King is?

Only the strongest member of the Demon Warriors and the most powerful. He's the

greatest to have ever lived among our tribe, one of the Four Congenial Beasts. Heard of

this? You'd better show some respect and know your place!"

What? The white Tiger King's daughter?

Darryl paused for a second, joy overtaking his face at the realization.

What wonderful news!

The Godly Region had come upon a disaster like no other. They were sure to defeat

Archfiend Antigonus with the Demon Warriors on their side. However, Darryl had been

heavily wounded, and the Demon Warriors were extremely secretive with their

whereabouts. Given those circumstances, it was nigh impossible to find their habitat.

The last thing Darryl had expected was to run into the Demon Warriors so soon.

By a stroke of luck, they had even saved his life.

Darryl saw the Nine Heaven Emperor as a selfish, arrogant heir. Darryl did not like him, so

he did not wish to help him against Archfiend Antigonus. However, Darryl understood that

if the Godly Region were to collapse, Archfiend Antigonus' next target would be the Nine

Mainland.

It was something about shared enemies. For the sake of the bigger picture, Darryl decided

to tell the Demon Warriors about that.

Had that man gone crazy, smiling like that?

Eventually, Lia spoke, "why do you look so happy? You still hadn't told us who you are or

what happened to you before one of my men brought you out of the ground. Also, what

were you doing at the Sealed Fiend Mountain?"

Darryl inhaled deeply, speaking in a solemn tone. "My name is Darryl Darby. You said the

white Tiger King was your father. Please bring me to him."

Darryl's eyes were filled with urgency as he spoke.

Everyone froze, including Mona and Lia. They stood rooted for a few seconds before bursting out into laughter.

"Who did he say he was? Darryl Darby?"

"Look at the state he's in! It'd be a compliment even to say he looked homeless." 1

"Do you even know who Darryl Darby is? The entire Demon Warrior tribe owes him great gratitude. He's the Nine

Heaven Sage. How dare you steal his identity, looking like this?"

"He's insane. I bet he can hardly think straight."

The subordinates broke out into a series of jeers and mocks. None of them could hide their amusement at

Darryl's words, laced with annoyance.

Darryl was a man of such power, and even Ancient Ancestors commended him. Why would he look as sorry as

the man in front of them?

Darryl was considered a hero among the Demon Warriors. Pretending to be him was an outright gesture of

disrespect. Why would they hold their tempers?

The jeers continued. However, Darryl only smiled, taking none of their words to heart.

"Insolent fool."

Mona could not hold her tongue, she strode forward, yelling again in Darryl's face. "You've got quite the nerve,

pretending to be the Demon Warriors' hero."

Mona turned to Lia. "I told you we should let him be, Lia. Look, you wasted a whole Creature Soul Pill on the guy,

and he's a babbling lunatic."
