Lolita looked a little more relaxed after Thea explained everything. "Thea, what's the matter? why are you
looking for me at such a late hour?"
Thea pondered and said slowly, "Lolita, I heard Donnie came back and took your position as the Clan Head and
put you under house arrest. I’m a little worried."
"You— " Lolita was very touched, but she was still a little confused. "Why are you being so kind to me?”

Thea continued when Lolita remained quiet. "There was just too much doubt surrounding
Master Damien’s death. I managed to find out some information at that time. Although
there was no conclusive evidence, I can be sure that Darryl was framed. You— you have
misunderstood him."
‘What?’ Lolita was taken aback and she felt her brain buzzing. ‘ Even Thea said so. Have I
misunderstood Darryl?’
"Thea, during this period of time, have you...have you seen Darryl? " she asked.
"He..." Thea hesitated and glanced at Darryl subconsciously before replying, “I have seen
him. He’s safe now, so you don’t need to worry.”
After chatting for a little longer, Thea bid goodbye to Lolita after Darryl gave her a hint.
The moment he walked out of the room, Darryl could not help but look at Lolita. He swore
secretly in his heart. ‘Lolita, don't you worry. As long as I'm here, you won't be in any
danger.’
Darryl had the strong urge to reveal his identity and take Lolita away, but he managed to
hold back. Bonnie was in control of the Temple of Light and she summoned all the rulers of
the major principalities to Pearl city. He was sure that Bonnie must be cooking up a huge
plan and the matter must not be taken lightly.
He decided that he would return to see Lolita once he dealt with Bonnie and the Temple of
Light. 1
Once he stepped out of the room, he looked at Donnie and said coldly, “Donnie, Miss Lolita
is Thea’s friend. If something happens to her, the blame will be placed on you, got it?”

Darryl glanced sharply at Grady when he issued the warning.
"I got it! I got it!" Donnie wiped the cold sweat from his forehead and nodded repeatedly.
Grady was even more nervous and held his breath in trepidation. He did not want to appear inferior and weak,
but he had no choice because Darren was the benefactor of the 12 paladins. Even Pegasus Paladin behaved
respectfully towards the mysterious man.
Darryl stopped talking and walked out of the manor with Thea, with Pegasus Paladin following behind them.
Once outside the manor, Thea questioned Darryl, "Darryl, I really don't understand you. You saw Lolita, but why
don't you tell her who you are?"
Darryl smiled bitterly. "Thea, I understand how you feel, but I must not reveal my identity now. who knows what
the consequences will be?" 1
Darryl glanced at Pegasus Paladin, who was nearby.
Thea was a smart woman and she guessed the implicit message in Darryl’s explanation. "Are y— Are you from
the Temple of Light?"
"Yes, I am." Darryl did not deny it and nodded. "The twelve paladins are my subordinates, but my identity is
rather sensitive, so I can't reveal it to too many people."
