Chapter 3405

Dennis observed Darryl and said in an unfriendly tone, "How dare a guard like you order the Princess around?

stand down!" Then he turned to Angeline with a placating expression on his face.

Angeline was not only the Queen's younger sister but also famous for her beauty. For a long time, Dennis had

admired her from afar. Since she was outside of the palace, he would make sure to use that opportunity to turn

her in his favor.

Darryl paid no mind to Dennis' derisive tone. He was used to people like him and was in no mood to bother about

him. There was only one thing in his mind —how to coax Angela to go back to the palace.

Dennis stepped closer to Angeline and said, "Princess, it's not every day that you get to leave the palace. I know

of an interesting place. Would you like to go with me?"

"Oh! Where is it?" Angeline asked with bright shiny eyes. Her curiosity had definitely been piqued, she was

trapped in the palace for so long that it was not difficult to get her interest.

Dennis smiled mysteriously and, in a low voice, said, "Two days ago, there was a rumor

going around about a dragon appearing in a mountain outside of the capital. It was all

anyone could talk about, and some of them even went there to check it out. I plan to go

there with my men right now, and you're more than welcome to join us."

At the mention of a dragon, Angeline's body started to tremble, and there was a curious

sheen to her eyes. After all, a dragon was the most powerful creature on the earth, and

there had not been a dragon sighting for over two thousand years.

"Really?" Angeline asked.

"Of course! I would never lie to you, Princess!" Dennis said while nodding his head

earnestly.

Angeline became very excited and nodded repeatedly. "I want to go!" The little excursion

outside the palace would be doubly worthed it if she could see a dragon.

Darryl started to panic at the turn of events and wondered whether they were talking

about the dragon he had subdued.

"Let's go then!" Dennis said excitedly. Then he turned around and said to Darryl with a

frown, "You! There's no need to follow US. I'll make sure the Princess is well taken care of."

He did not want a saint king to drag everyone down. 3

Darryl frowned.

"Let him come with us," Angeline said softly, she had no heart to turn him away when he

was the only reason she had managed to leave the palace in the first place.

Since it was Angeline's request, Dennis said nothing further.

Soon after, the group made their way to the mountains. All along the way, they saw many people descending the

mountain. It was true the rumor had attracted a lot of people. However, none of them managed to catch a

glimpse of the dragon.

As they made their way up the mountain, Dennis tried to get on Angeline's good side. "Princess, I heard the

dragon was seen in a cave. Please don't panic if we do see one. I'll protect you, no matter what!"

Upon hearing that declaration, Angeline became excited though she had no idea why.

Another few minutes passed, and the group had reached the cave's entrance. They frowned when they saw a

group of powerful men in black standing there. They were part of a cultivation group searching for the dragon.

Leading the pack was a fierce-looking man with only one good eye. "Hey!" he shouted at Darryl's group. Then, he

said, "We've taken over this place. Leave, now!"

The leader's name was Kit Wallaker, a core member of Blood Wolf Group. However, even though they were part

of a bounty hunting group, they acted more like bandits. They were also there because they heard the rumor

about the dragon.
