Then, the Queen returned to sit on her bed. Meanwhile, Darryl admired the Queen from a

Darryl was secretly admiring the Queen.

The man was called Vernon and he was a Baron, so his status was only second to the
Queen. He was powerful. Recently, he had been building his own network and influence in
secret, which threatened the Queen’s position.
In the past few days, the Queen was trying to figure out how to get rid of Vernon. That is
why she was not in a good mood to see Vernon.
Vernon was calm and composed even when he could sense the Queen's displeasure.
“My Lady, I heard that assassins broke into the palace, so I rushed here to protect you,” he
said, putting up an act.
The Queen let out a long sigh softly and said coldly, "The assassins are out there. If you
are so loyal to me, go and grab them all. Also, this is my bedroom, you can’t come in
without being summoned.”
