Austin could not help but sigh when he saw that huge city on the ground almost comparable to a humongous mighty beast. The Daylight City looked so magnificent from afar.

Compared to the Daylight City, those cities inside the Violet Orchid Empire were really not worth any mention at all.

When Austin cto the outer part of the Daylight City gates, he paid one thousand vital energy crystals for a wooden sign with one word in it, Daylight.

With this wooden sign, Austin could do everyday things without being questioned inside the city.

After he got the wooden sign, Austin stepped inside the Daylight City.

There were heavy traffic and numerous people in the streets and one could actually sense from the hustle bustle that it was a prosperous city.

On the sides of the street, all kinds of shops were there and if he searched carefully a person could easily find all types of business there. Austin could not quench the thirst of his vision when he just cinto the city.

Walking inside the Daylight City, Austin was observing the different kinds people and things, feeling greatly interested in them.

While Austin was looking around, he heard someone yelling ahead and the crowd dispersed leaving a completely deserted street in front of him. Within minutes the whole place beceerily silent.

Dozens of cultivators armed all over and with cruel expressions were strutting forward. They were escorting sprisoners while passing the street.

Among the prisoners, there were all kinds of people: men, women, the old and the young. To Austin's dismay there were even a few boys and girls probably at the age of five or six years old.

Most of the prisoners were injured or even disabled. Blood was all over them and sof them were still bleeding. It was a heart- wrenching scene.

Obviously, these people were captured after sbattle. They were war prisoners.

The people who were escorting the prisoners were evidently cruel and Austin could foresee the ill-fate of the prisoners. Sof escorting people were holding whips with barbs.

The moment a poor prisoner slowed down, harsh whiplashes would greet the already worn out body.

One boy at about five years old had passed out after he was beaten four or five times. There was an old man among the prisoners with grey hair who walked over and held the boy in his arms, tears running down his cheeks.

People around them in the street were all feeling sorry for them.

Austin was standing there and looking at the horrible scene and could not help but feel extranger fuming up inside him. He would under no circumstances bear with this barbaric treatment.
