There were many Imperial Realm warriors serving among the Flying Fish Sect, Iron Palm Sect and Evergreen Sect. Their overall strength couldn't be underestimated.

However, the seemingly small gap between the Imperial Realm and the Master Realm could mean a tremendous difference equivalent to comparing mud and stone between two warriors in strength and fighting skills. A Master Realm warrior was capable of wiping out dozens of Imperial Realm warriors easily.

Malick, in particular, was a respected member of the Sky Sect and a Master Realm warrior; however, he was also known for being unpredictable, fickle, merciless and had developed a habit of killing people without considering whether they were innocent or guilty.

Therefore, when they found Malick standing at the square, none of the members from the three sects dared to move near him.

Over the years, Malick had been traveling around the world and was familiar with sects of different sizes. Although the three sects, the Flying Fish Sect, the Iron Palm Sect and the Evergreen Sect were only categorized as second-rate powers, Malick still recognized them.

The arrival of the three sects excited Malick. In the past two days, he had been lonely looking for anything useful inside the city but found nothing.

Now that he had bumped into such a large group of people, he naturally wanted to ask them and figure out what was happening in the city.

"Chere, you must be leaders from the Flying Fish Sect, Iron Palm Sect and Evergreen Sect. Don't be afraid. | would like to have a chat with you," Malick said in a superior manner.

The three leaders exchanged glances, contemplating their options and since they were worried that they might offend Malick, they decided to hear what he had to say. Therefore, they called their disciples and walked towards Malick.

Over the last two days, the members and disciples of the three sects had suffered a lot while trying to find a way out of the city.

The grey and white fog had deprived most of Sky Realm warriors of their spiritual souls. As a result, they had been wandering aimlessly looking like ghosts. Even sImperial Realm warriors had lost their souls.

Only about a few dozens of the members were alive or capable of defending themselves.

The horrifying, frustrating and helpless experience sent chills to their bones. Now, all they could think about and focus their energies on was finding a way out of the city and reuniting with their families. However, no matter what they did and tried, they still couldn't get a clue on how to get out or even how they got in.

The three leaders were pleasantly surprised to suddenly encounter a Master Realm warrior. Since Malick was stronger and more skilled, with his help, they had a higher chance of getting out of the city, safe and sound.

Therefore, Malick and the three leaders wanted help from each other. Even a bit of useful information was better than walking alone in the city and knowing nothing about it.

"Sir, what do you need from us?" The leader of the Flying Fish Sect bowed and asked him respectfully. Although he was older in age than Malick, in the Martial arts world strength and skills mattered more. Therefore despite his age, he was still inferior to Malick. Living in such a world, only warriors with a higher level of martial arts could gain respect.

"Do you have any idea where we are?" Malick asked directly and bluntly.

The three leaders were dumbfounded and disappointed. Since Malick was also asking about their location, it meant he wasn't familiar with the city, either. Besides, he seemed to have also been trapped inside the city and couldn't leave.

"Sir, we don't know what's happening here, and we were about to get to ask you the squestion," the leader of Flying Fish Sect answered slightly disappointed.

"But how did you get here in the first place?" Malick heard his response and was bitterly disappointed.

"Sir, we had been walking on the Sunset Mountain. But suddenly, heavy clouds gathered overhead, and something transported us to this damned desolate place." This time, it was the leader of Evergreen Sect who answered Malick's question.

Malick was silent for a while and looked pale and sullen. He figured that what had happened to him had also happened to the three sects.

He thought for a moment before asking again, "Now tellyour experiences over the past two days." Therefore, the three leaders hurried to give Malick an account of their encounters and sufferings while trapped inside the city.

"Sir, could you please tell us how you got here?" the leader of Flying Fish Sect asked Malick boldly.

"The sway as you guys.

Now that we're in the sboat, we should work together to get out of here," Malick said lightly.

Malick had started feeling insecure. He sensed that there must be sdangers approaching and therefore working together would be better than fighting alone.

Therefore, although the warriors from the three sectors were insignificant and as powerful as ants in his opinion, he still decided to take them along.

"Yes, sir. We'll do whatever you ask." The three leaders were delighted to hear such good news.

Over the past two days, they had suffered great losses while dealing with the white mist; they had lost almost half of their disciples. They feared that sother horrifying creatures might be lurking in the dark and waiting for an opportunity to pounce on them. Now that they were joined by a Master Realm warrior, they felt more confident.

"I'm sure that with your help, we'll get out of here, safe and sound." They hastily fawned on him.

"Haha. You can't get out of here in this lifetime.

All the warriors including the Master Realm and the Imperial Realm ones are all here. Good, now | need not look for you one by one." Suddenly, a strange, terrifying sound of laughter echoed through the city. The laughter was as eerie as the voice of demons, and it had the power to rob people of their souls. Slesser warriors even found their legs trembling.

With the eerie sounds, white mists emerged suddenly and quickly flowed to the center of the square. In the blink of an eye, the whole square was shrouded in mist.

Inside the mist were countless souls struggling, flailing around like magical dancers and screaming.

"Where's my body? Who has taken my body? Givemy legs back..." All the souls were murmuring in a horrifying way. However, their voices collectively beca roar which made the whole square shake slightly.

Malick heard the scary sounds and moved his body quickly. In a blink of an eye, he already stood up and glanced around sharply.

An intimidating blade aura was emitting from his body.

All the other warriors also responded and looked at the off-white mist that was flowing towards them. Their faces looked pale and horrified. Scowardly warriors even found their legs trembling.

"Sir, what should we do next?" the three leaders asked Malick carefully.

They were just warriors at the premium stage of Imperial Realm, and their spiritual sense was much more inferior to Malick's. It was a difficult and even dangerous task, so they really didn't want to deal with the mist.

On the contrary, Malick, of the Master Realm, could easily handle the mist with his powerful spiritual sense and strong will power; he seemed much calmer than his companions.

At that moment, members from the three sects, including the three leaders, subconsciously started moving closer to Malick, trying to find sreliable protection.

"Humph, don't try to fool me. Show yourself and let's have a good fight," Malick shouted sternly. He looked around with careful eyes, trying to locate whoever was making that eerie sound.

However, he could not even detect a shadow, except for the white mist which was becoming denser.

Inside the city, a mysterious power seemed to have suppressed their spiritual sense. Otherwise, Malick's powerful spiritual sense would have been sensitive enough to locate the individual making that sound.

But now, Malick, a warrior of the Master Realm, seemed to have turned blind without his spiritual sense. There was no way that he could feel or sense through the mist and figure out what was happening there.

"Go, follow me. Let's get out of here," he said urgently.

With unknown enemies lurking somewhere, Malick decided to leave the square first before doing anything else. He rushed towards the exit of the square as fast as lightning, although the white mist had already transformed into solid walls surrounding the square.

The three leaders followed suit without delay. They also used their bodily movement skill and followed Malick closely.

That mysterious and horrifying white mist was moving towards the center of the square slowly, and they would be trapped and get into trouble if they didn't get out quickly.

Other members of the three sects did not slow down. Instead they competed with each other and followed closely behind their leaders.

A few moments later, Malick moving in a flash, got to the northeast corner of the square and made his way inside the mist.

Suddenly, the flailing ghosts, clearly hungry for human flesh and blood, pounced on him.

"Humph, you do not understand who | am and what | can do to ghosts." Malick smiled coldly. He was well-prepared and felt confident in dealing with the insignificant ghosts. Inside his Soul Sea, a long and sharp machete materialized. It started to rotate and slash at the ghosts.

In the blink of an eye, a dozen souls were hit by the machete and broken into countless pieces.

"Use your spiritual sense to kill them," Malick instructed.

The members from the three sects followed behind Malick and broke into the mist in the northeast corner.

The existence of the souls was illusionary, so only the use of spiritual sense could wipe them out.

Imperial Realm warriors from the three sects used all kinds of spiritual-sense related martial arts to deal with the horrifying souls.

There was strength in numbers. When they worked together, it was not long before they successfully stopped the souls" attack.

Malick led the way and walked outside the square slowly.

"Ha-ha. You can't get out of here so easily.

Surrender and give up your souls. Then, you can die less painfully." The square echoed with the eerie voice.

"I'll kill you!" Malick wielded a long sword and slashed at the south part of the square with the light of his sword.

In a flash, it divided the space into two parts.

Even the mist was halved.

However, as soon as it was halved, it recovered back to its former shape quickly.

"You're a blade cultivator. That's good. The soul of blade cultivator is the purest, and his willpower is the strongest. My master will be glad to use your soul to cultivate his martial arts and heal his wounds." That voice was heard on the other side of the square. Although Malick's blade was sharp and powerful, the person with that eerie voice wasn't hurt a bit.
