Before he had left the Imperial Capital City of the Violet Orchid Empire, Austin had bought a lot of fourth and fifth-grade elixirs to practice his pill refining skills.
Today, he had refined nine fourth-grade Sunset Elixirs for Michelle. Austin's pill refining skills had improved a lot and he had also gained much experience and new comprehension into this skill.
As a master of pill refining, Angus had passed his knowledge and experiences on to Austin, so all that Austin lacked now was practice.
If he kept practicing pill refining and carefully took in all the fruits of Angus's life-long labors, he would not encounter any obstacles in his skills advancement. In essence, Austin had the whole guide to pill refining in his soul sea, thanks to Angus.
Therefore as long as Austin practiced continuously, he would continue to make rapid progress in his pill refining skills.
Now, Austin wanted to start refining sfifth-grade pills. Once he succeeded, he would beca fifth-grade pill refiner! It was no exaggeration to say that a fifth-grade pill refiner would be a legend in the Violet Orchid Empire.
Austin believed that, even in a big empire like the Heavenly Dragon Holy Kingdom, fifth-grade pill refiners held a lofty portion in their society.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtThe fifth-grade pill which Austin was attempting to refine this twas called the Energy-advancing Elixir.
The Energy-advancing Elixir could restore all lost vital energies. It was widely used by the masters of the Imperial Real. So it was in general almost a requisite elixir for masters of the Imperial Realm.
For the fighters of the Sky Realm, the Energy-advancing Elixir was a precious elixir which they longed for. An Energy-advancing Elixir contained enough power to provide all of the vital energy that a common fighter of the Sky Realm would consume.
Considering Austin's own cultivation base, it would also be very useful for him to practice refining the Energy-advancing Elixir, so that he might be able to restore his own vital energy if necessary.
Since Austin had cultivated the Golden Sun Scripture, the amounts of vital energy in his body had becmuch more than that of fighters of the srank. The vital energy stone in his elixir field already stored a lot of energy. But it would do no harm for a fighter to store as much vital energy as possible. Perhaps, at scritical moment, it would be of essential use.
Austin set down the purplish-brown medicinal cauldron next to a mound of elixirs in front of him. First, he referred to the knowledge vested in his Soul Sea. Much like recipes, skills of refining Energy-advancing Elixirs, and other matters needed careful perusal and attention.
Once Austin had reviewed the method for pill refining, he then started to refine the pills.
He had already wasted four elixirs but still hadn't succeeded refining even one Energy-advancing Elixir! But Austin didn't lose heart. He knew for certain that it wouldn't be so easy to beca fifth-grade pill refiner, or people wouldn't respect this grade of pill refiners so much.
He estimated that in order to achieve this skill, and refine an Energy-advancing Elixir successfully, Austin would have to try dozens, or even hundreds of times.
Just like in martial arts, as he reached higher levels, it would be more difficult to make a breakthrough.
It hadn't cost him much effort to beca fourth-grade pill refiner. However, it was much more difficult to break through the fourth grade to the fifth grade.
"Knock-knock." As Austin immersed himself in refining the Energy-advancing Elixir, someone knocked at the door.
"Austin? May | please cin?" asked Michelle in a soft, sweet voice.
"Yes. Please." Austin was stunned for a moment by her presence at his door, but quickly responded. He was surprised that Michelle should cto visit him at this hour, as it was already very late. If a girl knocks on a man's door at night, tongues will surely wag.
Then he heard the wooden door open with a loud squeak.
The door was pushed open, and moonlight poured in from between the cracks in the beams from which the door was constructed.

Austin stared at Michelle. For a moment he remained speechless, and a flicker of amazement flashed in his eyes.
Apparently Michelle had dressed herself up on purpose for this meeting. She was wearing a flattering indigo skirt and a lavender blouse which was partly unbuttoned, revealing her delicate collarbones. Her skin was white as snow and her hair was black as obsidian. She was a true image of beauty.
Her face was aglow as he stared at her. She shut the door and walked to him with deliberately slow steps. She was holding a set of clothes in her fair hands.
Austin coughed nervously as she approached. "Miss Michelle? What's the matter?" he cleared his throat and asked.
Austin felt a little uneasy because it was quite inappropriate for a girl to visit with a man in his room at night.
"l...I brought you a change of clothes," she explained with a low and soft voice.
She set the clothes on the table. Dropping her head to avoid his eyes, her beautiful face blushed a becoming scarlet color.
"Thank you very much, Miss Michelle. But please ask a maid to do this next time. You don't have to bother yourself with such menial tasks." Austin smiled awkwardly. "Miss Michelle," he continued with his eyes fixed on her in a near state of rapture, "if there's anything | can help with, please just tell me." Austin knew there must be something unusual that she wanted, or Michelle wouldn't have just cto him at midnight. So he asked straightforward, not wanting ambiguity between them.
Hearing his words, Michelle's body stiffened for a moment. She bit her lip in hesitation. Drawing an uncertain breath, she told him everything that had happened on the mine that day.
The herbal pot gave off a delicate fragrance as Michelle's voice rose in the quiet room, just like a melody.
