Chapter 796
Although Lewis sounded like he was just asking, it also sounded like he was trying to place blame on someone.
Marilyn was Gary’s secretary. Although she did the typical jobs of a secretary, she was still closer to Gary than the
others in the presidential office.
Gary was focused on his work. He also held high standards for his employees. He did not care too much about a
person’s character, but he could not tolerate people lording over others in the company.
In situations like these, Gary’s secretary would have a very important role-she had to report to him about the most
unimportant things in the company on time. They might be inconsequential, but they were definitely things that
needed to be dealt with.
Marilyn seemed to realize her mistake as well. She looked down guiltily and gripped her drink with both hands.

“But you made up for it, didn’t you? Lewis gazed at her. His eyes had some kind of meaning in it.
Marilyn jolted as she looked up in shock. Her mouth fell open, but she could not speak
“What do you mean? Larissa was confused. She felt like she was not on the same channel as them.
Lewis cleared up Larissa’s confusion. “Marilyn was the one who made the post that exposed Judy in the company’s
internal forum.”
Blue Star Shipping’s internal forum was fairly unrestricted. One’s account did not need to use real names. The
accounts could be made as long as it was made on the company’s internal IP address.
However, every IP was locked to a specific laptop. As long as the IT Department was asked to check, they would be
able to identify who made a post
The post on the forum was quite trendy. Lewis naturally saw it too. He thought the poster had some sort of beef
with Judy and sparked a war” on purpose, so he got the IT Department to check. He was surprised to find that it
was Marilyn,
“What?” Larissa was shocked too. She turned to Marilyn and asked. “Is it true?”
Marilyn could not deny it now that Lewis had “exposed her like that. “Yeah, I did make that post.” She looked
awkward, like a criminal caught quilty of a crime.
Larissa did not expect Marilyn to do something like this.
Marilyn’s job was all related to Gary, It was rare for her to talk to the other employees in the presidential office. So
to the others in the office, Marilyn was an ‘Ice Princess” who could not care less about what people said or did.
“Why?” Larissa asked.
*Td like to know too.” Lewis took over and stared at Marilyn. “If you were only doing this for the company, you
could just report to Mr. Logan Senior, and he would fire her.”
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThe way Marilyn did it seemed like she wanted Judy’s reputation in the company to be completely ruined.
Marilyn’s fingers rubbed at the glass she was holding before she finally muttered, “Because I wanted to avenge
Larissa.”
She covered her face in embarrassment as her voice grew quieter. “I feel so childish for doing this, and I couldn’t
tell you guys. I was afraid you’d laugh at me.”
Larissa froze again. However, warmth hugged her heart soon. She grabbed Marilyn’s hand in gratitude and said,
“Thank you.”
Marilyn was still shy as her lace was red. “For what-7 She talked badly about you in the restaurant that day. Anyone
would not have been able to bear it, I got angry and
Marilyn looked up and secretly checked Lewis expression. She asked carefully, “Mr. Logan Junior, I won’t lose my job
over this, right?”
“Of course not.” Leais smiled very kindly. “You did very well.” He praised Marilyn’s actions. “I will suggest to Mr.
Logan Senior to increase your bonus this month”
