Watching all this unfold, Gordon gripped the armrest tightly. What was happening in front of him was beyond
anything he had expected.
Those four gems... it seemed like their chance had passed, so why were they still glowing so brightly? Was there
still hope?
Sophie was quick on her feet, but she soon noticed Gordon standing alone.
Just as Sophie was about to run over to Gordon, Joseph had already aimed a gun at him, saying, "I've put up with

With that, Gordon pressed a hidden button behind the armrest, and suddenly, countless gun barrels were
pointed at everyone.
Apart from the shimmering gold, the cave was pitch dark, and though it wasn't clear if anyone was lurking in
those shadowy corners, Joseph could definitely hear the guns.
They were surrounded by all these ominous gun barrels.
"You set up an ambush? No way."
Joseph couldn't believe Gordon had the guts to set up an ambush here. Who in their right mind would work for
Gordon when faced with such treasure?
"Without preparation, how could | possibly take on Mr. Burke? Joseph, you've been plotting for ages. If you were
to die now, wouldn't you be pretty upset?" Meanwhile, Sophie and Harold were struggling against Kiran and
quickly losing ground.
Gordon glanced over at them, still speaking calmly, "How about you put the gun down, and I'll let you walk
away? You'll still have a shot at making a comeback." The rare sight of the four gems glowing together left him
unsure of what would happen if they collided, so he played it safe. Joseph seemed to hesitate at Gordon's offer.
Gordon pressed on, "You've only got
Kiran on your side, and you're not making it out today. I'm offering you a way out because of your dedication. If
you don't take it, we'll both go down today, and | won't regret it."
James realized that Gordon was just playing a mind gwith Joseph, trying to back off to move forward.
And James was already waiting for a chance to take Joseph down.
"Kiran, back off!"
Joseph said heavily.
But Kiran didn't budge, continuing his relentless attack on Sophie and Harold without listening to Joseph. "Kiran! |
told you to back off!"

Seeing this, Gordon's eyes widened.
Harold struggled to his feet, trying to move forward, and James also aimed his gun at Kiran. Kiran, with a
mocking grin, pushed the dagger deeper, saying, "Hand over the gems, or I'll end you." en
Sophie's body was racked with pain, making it almost impossible for her to move. She clutched the gems tightly
in her hand and, with a defiant smile, said, "Go ahead, try. Kill me, and take them."
