Chapter 21 Chapter 21 Summer Frost POV 'I'm waiting for you outside' Hunter's text cin as soon as I was done getting dressed, and I sighed.

"I'll join you shortly' I replied to his text, picked up my handbag, and walked out of my room. Chloe already left to see Dad with the kids, and Miguel was Jaking care of something for me, so I was left all alone at home.

Hunter's car was parked outside with him leaning against it while waiting for me. He was cladded in a pair of black velvet trousers, black button down shirt, and a pair of black boots to compliment the dress. I must confess that he looked handsas always.

"Shall we?" He opened the car door foras soon as I arrived outside the gate, and I hopped inside. He closed the door behind me, walked over to the other side of the car, and hopped inside. The ride to the dinner party began.

"You look gorgeous," He glanced atwith a faint smile on his face.

"Hmm... Thank you," I replied to him briefly and proceeded to stare out through the window.

'I'm sorry I couldn't protect you. I should've been there for you" I breathed out as Lisa's words replayed in my head. Lisa was the only friend I had back then, and the only family of Xander who approved of our relationship and was there forall the tI ever needed her. I was very sure that Xander wouldn't have done that if she was here years ago. She would never have allowed that to happen under her watch because she would protectthe sway she would always do whenever her family tried to bully me.

"We are here," Hunter's voice disrupted my thoughts, and I realized we were parked at the parking lot of an unfamiliar villa. He was holding the door open forwith his hand stretched forward, waiting to helpout of the car.

"Hmm... Thank you," He held my hand and guidedgently out of the car. I wasn't so surprised when I saw the many expensive cars parked at the parking lot. The party was hosted by an influential family, so I couldn't have expected less.

"This way," He led the way while I trailed behind him, our hands still locked together, "Summer!" I heard a familiar masculine voice just when we wanted to walk past the flower decoration leading to the entrance door, and we were forced to stop. The thick and fast footsteps behindmadeturn, but Xander out of nowhere, grabbed my hand and pulledaway roughly from Hunter.

"What the f u ck do you think you are doing?" Xander didn't care that there were people around who were watching as he acted like a crazy man.

"Let go of me!" I yanked his hand off and stepped away from him. I had no idea he was going to be here, but it seemed like he would always show up everywhere I go. It's crazy.

"What f u cking business do you have with him? What are you doing with him?" He yelled at the top of his lungs, his eyes filled with rage and pain.

"What is the meaning of this, man?" Hunter stepped forward with a deep frown on his face.

"The meaning of this is that you are f u cking flirting with my wife, and I don't find it pleasing!" Xander yelled to everyone's hearing, and my jaw dropped to the ground as I wasn't expecting that "Xander..." I tried to interver to intervene. I didn't want to mess this up. Dad askedto crepresent him here, and I didn't want things to go wrong. He would be so mad if anything happens, and that was the last thing I wanted.

"Stay out of this, Summer!" Xander's eyes were filled with pain as he glanced atand looked back at Hunter.

"Let's get out of here," Hunter held my hand in a bid to dragaway, but Xander held his hand and stopped him.

"Let go of me, Xander," My voice cout weakly as I stared into space. Tears streamed down my cheeks for no good reason. Yes, I had no idea why the fuck I was crying.

"We are no longer together! We f uc king separated, so what the hell do you want from me? I couldn't hold it in anymore, so I yelled at the top of my voice as I yanked his hand off me.

"Wow! Mr. Xander was married and got divorced?" "Now, this is making sense. I thought it was just mere rumors. He was really married," "What could've happened?" "Summer... Hünter tried to interfere, but I shook my head, and he nodded.

-You want to embarrass me? Why don't we do it together, hmm?" Tears streamed down my cheeks as I looked at him, and his face went blank.

"What do you want from me, Xander? You dumped me... You fuc king accusedof cheating on you... You threwout in the middle of the ve cold night. You didn't reach out tofor the past six years. What do you want now?" This was going to affect his reputation, and I was safe since nobody knew my identity yet as the popular surgeon and the successor of Miller's Corporation.

"Why? Did you find out that you were never sterile? Do you realize now that I never cheated on you, and you are Cheated on here to claimback?” I scoffed, took a step close to him, and looked into his eyes. "Are you here to begabout your Mom again? I will change my mind if everyone here begs me. Is that what you think?" I whispered against his ear, then stepped away from him.

"That is never going to happen, Xander. Even if you are the last man on earth. Stop showing up in front of me, acting pathetic. It's annoying the hell out of me. I will call the cops on you if this ever happens again,” And with that, I walked back to Hunter and locked arms with him. "Let's go," I whispered, and he nodded.

"This is crazy, "Mr. Xander was sterile? This is indeed crazy," Hearing those comments madeso satisfied. Let's see how he is going to handle his reputation now...
