S21 58. Don’t Kill Philip

Once again, Melanie launched an attack. Her move was faster. However, Philip still

managed to catch her wrist.

“Come to your senses, Madam. What you are doing is a crime. You could really go to jail.”

Hearing the word she hated the most, Melanie’s breath became louder. Her lips twitched,

her eyes dimmed.

“If I have to end up in prison, you have to end up in hell. Therefore, give up!”

Melanie mustered all her strength. She pushed the knife with both

hands.

Philip had no other choice but to defend. He couldn’t possibly fight back. After all, Melanie

was his boss’s family, the mother of the woman he liked.

she tried to step back, but Philip had already locked her wrists.

Melanie’s shoulders shook violently Groaning, she tried to fight back.

Melanie fell silent. Her hand was no longer pushing, just tremblingly gripping the knife.

evidence. We can live together again, as usual.” Barbara nodded reassuringly.

Meanwhile, Melanie had turned to face Barbara. “You won’t go with your father? You

promise to stay with me?”

Barbara forced a smile. “Yes. We can live in your new apartment. We can also manage it

together. Doesn’t it sound wonderful?”

Melanie blinked sadly. “Yes, it’s beautiful.”

Barbara breathed a sigh of relief. Her worries faded. However, after one blink, she caught

a flash of resentment in her mother’s eyes.

However, when she was about to stab Philip, blood dripped from the tip of the knife. In an

“Mom?” Barbara called softly.

Melanie let out a quick sigh. When she turned around, her daughter’s face had turned pale

and her breathing had shortened. Tears were

“This is blood? I’m bleeding?”

Barbara’s hands were raised in the air, not knowing what to do with the wound on her

right chest. A second later, her body started shaking. Her legs were unsteady and soon,

she lost her balance.

Philip swiftly caught Barbara. His heart ached, his chest tight.. However, he tried to hide

his pain behind the tense expression.

“Hey, don’t be afraid, okay? You’re going to be okay.”

While applying pressure to the wound, Philip lowered Barbara carefully.

“I’m bleeding, Philip. I’m bleeding,” Barbara whispered with tears in her

“Am I going to die?”

Philip shook his head with deep furrowed brows. “No. This is a small wound. I’ve had worse

than this, and I survived. Surely you can do it too, hmm?”

At that time, people arrived. Seeing Barbara slumped weakly and with fresh blood on her

clothes, everyone gasped. Only Frank and Kara rushed over.

“Prepare my hypercar!” Frank’s voice boomed.

A driver gasped. With a tense face, he ran to carry out orders.

“Jeez, what happened?” Kara knelt in front of Philip, next to Barbara.

“We have to take her to the hospital,” Philip said. “Can you help me press here?”

Without waiting for a response, Frank gave the next order. “Take my mother to her room!”

Then, while walking after Philip, he took out his phone:

“Wela, is your husband on duty?”

However, seeing Philip carrying Barbara in hurry, and their mother who seemed to be

pressing something on Barbara, their eyes widened.

“What happened, Louis?”

“I don’t know, Emily. Is Auntie sick?”

Curious, they ran after her. “Mommy, Philip, where are you going?”

However, Kara and Philip didn’t hear it. They were too focused on getting Barbara to the

front door.

When the twins caught up, they gasped. Their eyes trembled at the sight of so much

blood.

“What happened to Auntie?”
