Chapter 176 Family Debt and Framing
Donny had never deeply involved himself in the family business but chose to become a university
professor instead. He rarely showed up at home on usual days.
Charlotte and Donny rarely interacted. However, Charlotte remembered that when she was forced to
marry Joe, Donny was furious at home for her sake. He even had a big argument with Levi, and they
parted on bad terms.
After that, her relationship with Joe gradually faded, reducing her chances of seeing Donny.
Upon meeting Donny again, Charlotte noticed a hint of guilt on his face. “Mia, oh, sorry, Miss Clinton, I
was unaware that the startup capital for the family came from your mother’s inheritance. I am truly
sorry.”
Donny looked at Charlotte sincerely, “I am now aware of the debt issues between our family and you.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtI’ll do everything I can to repay the money as soon as possible, please rest assured.”
Charlotte was surprised at Donny’s appearance, but she wasn’t too taken aback by his words. She
glanced at Donny and asked indifferently, “The past is the past, and there’s no use talking about it
anymore. Are your parents aware of your visit today?”

It sounded like the kind of question one might be asked when visiting a friend’s house.
Taken aback, Donny replied with a reluctant smile,
“They don’t know about it, but I will try my best to persuade them to repay you.”
Both Levi and Diana were not easy to deal with. Charlotte didn’t say much, just nodding, “You’ve
worked hard.”
Donny shook his head, remaining silent.
Just as Charlotte and Donny mel, an unexpected figure also entered the jail.
“You finally came!”
Stacy, also known as Mrs. Vega, felt bored at first and then suddenly felt elated. She almost ran to the
visitation room.
Upon hearing Mrs. Vega’s loud voice, Wendy had a flash of disdain in her eyes, “I clearly assigned you
the task of dealing with Charlotte. How did you end up getting yourself into prison?”
Thinking of the news she had heard, Wendy wanted to slap Stacy.
It was Mrs. Vega who confidently said she could handle Charlotte, but now she ended up in prison!
“I just wanted to earn some more money. Anyway, she’s going to be ruined. What does it matter if I’m in
jail?” Stacy didn’t think she had done anything wrong, glaring at Wendy, “If you hadn’t stopped sending
me money recently, why would I take such a risk?”
Stacy even dared to counter-question Wendy!
Wendy was furious, pointing at Stacy and scolding, “Haven’t I given you enough money recently? Do

trying to benefit from both sides!”
At this point, Stacy didn’t want to hide anymore. She said helplessly, “So what? Do you want to see me
in jail? Hurry up and find a way to get me out!”
Wendy laughed in frustration, “Do you think I own the police station? Do you think if I say to let you out,
then you can leave? Moreover, your bidding document has not only offended
Charlotte but also Joe! If he finds out about our relationship, I’ll be in big trouble too!”
Stacy, who was originally quite composed, suddenly changed her demeanor.
She sat up nervously, staring intently at Charlotte, “What should I do? I don’t want to go to jail!”
“I can’t help you either,” Seeing Stacy like this, Wendy felt a bit of her anger dissipate.

However, Stacy threatened fiercely, “Don’t think I don’t know you want to get rid of me, a burden. I’ll tell
you, if I go to jail, I can’t guarantee what I might reveal.
