Chapter 731

After she said that, she got up and headed out.

Connie was standing at the door, wiping her tears, and eavesdropping on the noises outside.

Only five minutes had passed and the game hadn’t even begun.

Maja walked into the hallway and spotted a man smoking not too far away, a gun in his hand.

She slipped off her coat, unbuttoning a few buttons,

The sight of her made the man’s eyes light up.

Maja gave him a wave, and he instantly tossed his cigarette, stomping it out, and striding towards her.

He even started unbuckling his belt as he walked.

Maja went into the restroom, and the man followed her in.

As soon as they were inside, he pinned Maja against the cubicle door, his back to Connie.

But Connie saw the gun at the man’s waist and covered her mouth in fright, not daring to move. The man was

already eagerly unbuttoning Maja’s shirt, whispering foreign words into her neck. Maja felt disgusted. She was

facing Connie and kept signaling her to make a move.

Connie was armed with a stick, but all she could do was cry.

Maja was getting desperate. If this kept up, she’d really be taken advantage of by this weirdo.

She pushed the man away, and snatched the stick, ready to fight back.

But the man wasn’t easy to deal with. He instantly caught on and started cussing her out in fluent foreign language.

Maja’s face turned pale as she was choked. The man still had his back to Connie; she just needed to swing once,

and he’d be knocked out.

With a hoarse voice, Maja said, “Do it, Connie!”

She’d created several opportunities, but Connie just stood there crying.

Maja could taste blood in her throat, and her throat was definitely damaged.

Even her brain seemed to be lacking oxygen.

In panic, she reached for the gun at the man’s waist, found it, and shot him in the chest.

The man hadn’t expected this petite woman to know how to load a gun, let alone shoot it.

His grip on her neck loosened, and Maja fell to the ground, coughing up blood..

Her throat had been injured from the force.

Upon seeing the man collapsed, Connie was about to scream again.

“Shut up!”

Maja took the man’s gun and checked the time. Two minutes left.

She coughed as she straightened up, not expecting any help from Connie now.

“Just hide in the storage room.”

As she said this, she dragged the dead man into a cubicle and hid him, then cleaned up the few drops of blood on

the floor with a mop.

The gun was silenced. She wasn’t worried about being found out.

After doing all this, as she was about to leave, Connie grabbed her, her lips trembling in fear.

“Maja, where are you going? Don’t leave me, I’m really scared.”

Seeing her shaking uncontrollably, Maja opened the storage room door.

“Hide in here, and don’t open the door if you hear footsteps.”

Fear struck Connie. Was she supposed to stay on this floor alone?

“Can you stay with me? We can hide heré together.”

At this moment, she didn’t feel disgusted by Maja. She just wanted someone to be with her, especially at a time like

this. Being alone was even more terrifying.

But Maja just shut the storage room door and told her.

“Your cousin’s men are already outside. They won’t make a move because these kidnappers have so many

hostages. I have to do something, coordinate with them. You better stay here until everything is over.”

Scared and speechless, Connie hid inside.

After settling her in, Maja walked out with the gun.

There were five men on this floor, and most of the hostages had been taken to the first–floor lobby. Apart from the

patrolling staff, there was basically no one upstairs.

Maja hid in a corner and took another one down when a big guy wasn’t on guard.

Then she looked out the window at the building outside.

Indeed, the police had surrounded the building, and there were even several helicopters. They sent out negotiators,

but the negotiators were shot dead midway by the kidnappers.

This was the biggest crime in the country in the last thirty years. Many reporters had gathered around,

broadcasting live.
